Dion fails to connect with Cdns: Poll Couldn't wait for the resident poll logger to post
-
And of course the Canadian voter will endorse his unstated method whole heartedly..........so you don't know what his bullshit is either.
-
Anybody have an answer for what Dion's solution today that he seemed to forget to implement while he was environment minister? You, J.Dobbin?

If the issue is to save the world, and this is what the scientists are saying: United Nation’s annual Human Development Report So here we have Japan, along with Spain and Italy who are in the process of buying credits to do their part in Kyoto because they can't meet their targets. Japan, Spain, Italy Face $33 Billion Kyoto Payments We have the UN saying 15 years before disaster begins affecting the world. We have countries looking for "deals" in credit buying, because they can't meet their emission goals, and it could hurt their economy. We have the U.S(responsible for 22% of total emissions).,China(responsible for 18.4 % of total emissions) and India and none of them are in the picture. And then you have Dion stating if he was in power he still has time and could come close to achieving the first target goal for 2012. And how would that be? By writing a cheque for $10 billion? But how will that cut emissions? Kyoto is all wrong for actually cutting emissions. Bali is next week and the U.S.,India, and China must get on board if anything of significance will be accomplished. Harper is right.

Japan, Spain, Italy Face $33 Billion Kyoto Payments + Japan to start buying carbon credits + UN: World has only 10 years to fix climate = The participation of the U.S.,China and India is needed much more than purchasing credits that accomplish nothing towards Climate Change. Harper has got it right.

So you prefer to debate with terrorists making "dirty bombs"? Maybe bringing it here where WE have control of it isn't such a bad idea.

Dion has Isolated himself....he thinks he's No.1
Canuck E Stan replied to Canuck E Stan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You never hear Dion mention either Rae or Iggy, unless he's pressed to do it.I think he still sees them as a threat to his job. As for Chretien, he probably doesn't want any kind of affiliation in case "Shawinigate" resurfaces. Dion, the one man show, is just like Harper,he doesn't trust anyone. But Harper had his close circle of advisors who guided his career.Dion appears to be guided very much like Chretien, by his wife .....and of course...Kyoto,. -
Dion has isolated himself from all those who work with him.He knows better, and this is probably why 18 Liberal MP's are packing it up. Liberal MPs Who've Resigned, Crossed The Floor Or Won't Be Seeking Re-Election Ray Bonin, Brenda Chamberlain, Joe Comuzzi, David Emerson, Joe Fontana, John Godfrey, Bill Graham, Wajid Khan, Jean Lapierre, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Paul Martin, Bill Matthews, Joe McGuire, Gary Merasty, Stephen Owen, Jim Peterson, Lucienne Robillard, Andy Scott, Paul Steckle, Belinda Stronach, Tom Wappel. And now John Godfrey is added to the list. Globe&Mail reporter Angelo Persichilli He really should get a copy of Dale Carnegie's book-How to Win Friends and Influence People...he could read it to Kyoto, maybe his dog is a good listener.

Then apparently your babble about Arnie and California has no basis. Schwartenegger has personally done nothing, and likewise you haven't provided any evidence of what he has done that would have been a wise move for Dion to follow. Nor have you told us of what these transforming effects on technology and policies are. In other words you're making this up as you go along. Much like Dion is doing with his policy that doesn't exist. You should run for leader of the Liberal party. -

Your enthusiasm for Arnold, who became governor on November 2003, has little to do with California and automobile emissions, history will show that California has always since 1945 been in the auto emission control business and has since 1945 made emissions a priority.Dion's dog could have been governor, and these changes would have been made because of California's history with smog. -

Geez, you said What policies, besides naming his mutt Kyoto does Dion have? What wonders has Arnie done outside of the Terminator films that you think Dion should follow? What transforming effect,(and we're not talking Hollywood special effects) are you referring to? How can all these unnamed revelations you attribute to the Governator be applicable to us here in the frozen north? -

Other than having Dion move to California, what has the Governator done in short order that Dion should follow? How are issues in the land of fruits and nuts equivalent to living in Canada and relevant it's economy? -

And your immediately....is how long before it's implemented and actually doing something. So Canada covers it's 2%, what about the other 98% caused be the big three? Well, and the Liberal solution......I know,...Kyoto...the dog. -

Canuck E Stan replied to trex's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And your solution? How about the Liberal solution...other than referring to the buried and dead Kyoto. While the 90+% of those responsiible for the global problems aren't involved in the solution,Canada is to be a major player with their minor role in the problem?Let's get the big boys taking care of the issues first.Their commitment will immediately cover anything we could do on the short term and have greater effect in the long term.Again I ask, what's your and the Liberal party's solution that would get actual immediate solutions to climate change? -

Nothing wrong with Harper's logic at the conference. Dispute the common sense in his statement. Commonwealth steers clear of binding emissions targets And as for Dion... Has anyone told Dion that Kyoto died and was buried. What a goof. -

Liberals Gunning for February Election
Canuck E Stan replied to Michael Bluth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's precisely what's wrong with the Liberal party and their supporters. The need "to develop a policy platform that is different from what the Tories and NDP have". The question becomes why? The Liberals should accept good policy from their opponents, and admit and say this is good, and work with "good" policy and try and contribute to this policy by improving on it,not looking for "different". Liberals have to be more honest with Canadians and stop getting into confrontational politics or trying to be "different". The sooner the Liberals see this, the sooner the Liberals will start getting more support.
