From Ballotpedia: Joe's biggest knock is that he's an idiot who's not really capable of doing anything, but this list is chock full of elite-level losers who would strap rockets to the back of the US and shoot it down the face of El Capitan. They have the covid killer on their list, the Governor of California who closed restaurants to peons and then dined indoors with a party of 13, AOC - the mother of stoopiditee, Cory "manly tears of rage" booker, Kamala "suga daddy" Harris who was probably the worst DA in US history and then went on to bail actual violent criminals out of jail in 2020 (she also has a great grandmother who was a slave owner)...... You could easily mistake the 2024 DNC Primary as an episode of "America's Biggest Loser".2 points

A man who has never been to Canada, but who has recently taken up consuming our media because his sons are studying here finds himself baffled at our attitude of being ashamed and apologizing again and again for everything in our history, and for believing every incident which involves someone of colour is 'racist'. I admit to being similarly baffled, and I live here. Canadians used to be proud of their country, not ashamed of it. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/gourav-jaswal-from-abroad-canada-looks-like-a-country-drowning-in-its-own-self-pitty1 point

but the Arabs have been losing this war against Israel for decades now Israel is totally ascendant, so much so that the Arabs have sided with Israel, led by Saudi Arabia itself this has literally forced the Arab terrorists to seek the support of the Arabs greatest enemies, the Persians in Tehran Israel is winning, Israel is winning the long war and the short wars, this is just self harm by the Palestinians now1 point

according to the law, those shooting rockets from populated areas are responsible for any civilians killed as a result you launch a rocket from a city, then the opponent shoots back at your rockets, you are liable for anybody killed insitu so the Palestinian collateral non combatant deaths are the fault of Hamas according to the law1 point

Nope. Don't realize that. He seems to be doing much better than that shit stain you still have a man-crush on. And hey, didn't you say he was China's boy. Sure doesn't look like it. More blunt talk about China from his people than we ever saw from Trump. All Trump ever talked about with China was they needed to give America more money and buy more stuff.1 point

if Israeli's caved to every Palestinian demand, there would be no peace if Palestinians stopped attacking Israel, there would be peace but blame Israel tho, lulz1 point

I thought it was more like what happened to Avi Yemeni's family in Gaza. They were forced out and forced to leave a thriving Greenhouse business. The video below is about more than that but it contains the story:1 point

Hamas hates Israel and the Jews more than Israel hates Hamas and the Palestinians Israel is willing to make concessions and negotiate while Hamas is not yet citizen_2015 blames Israel for the hate and lack of peace when the other side clearly deserves far more of the blame total clown show1 point

The Arabs can stop fighting anytime they want. Only good things will happen for them if they do. If the Jews stop fighting they start dying. So yeah...I've picked a side. I'm on the anti-genocide side when it actually would be genocide.1 point

defenseless civilians were not attacked by Israel it's called collateral damage Hamas on the other hand did attack defenseless civilians intentionally yet you attack Israel more than Hamas Hamas uses civilians as a human shield that's not an Israel problem that's a Hamas problem blaming Israel for it is asinine if you want less civilian casualties focus your attention on Hamas, not Israel attacking Israel for defending itself is not a pro-defenseless civilian position that is a pro-palestinian civilian and anti-israeli civilian stance1 point
-
under international law and the laws of armed conflict, the killing of civilians is lawful so long as three caveats are met the use force is a military necessity the use of force is proportionate to the threat the use of force is collaterally mitigated, in that civilians are not deliberately targeted but rather collateral the IDF is broadly compliant with these statutes, the Palestinians are not this makes the Palestinians the bad guys according to the rules1 point

Also, I don't know how many Gazan fatalities were civilians and how many were Hamas fighters, and neither do you CITIZEN. Stop trying to push the feels by pretending you do.1 point

So what's your solution then. Hamas was voted in by the Arab Muslims calling themselves "Palestinians." And now it's like this. 1. The Charter of Hamas says 'fight and kill the Jews." 2. Hamas fires missiles into Israel. 3. Israel has gotten good at defense and counter-attack, so that's what they do - defend with Iron Dome and counter-attack with superior but limited force. Your solution seems to be eliminate #3. What do you expect the result of that Genius plan to be. Are you expecting Hamas to stop trying to "fight and kill the Jews?" I think I heard you suggest the solution would be, talk. Are you under the impression that hasn't been tried? Check that out to see how that works. One side doesn't seem to want to talk. Guess which one. Spoiler: Its not the Israelis.1 point

Yeah, that's one of my pet peeves too. When activists, the corporate media or just plain gullibles use terms like "Researchers, Scientists, or Studies" to insinuate that all Researchers, Scientists, Experts or Studies" say the same thing. They don't. I have no doubt that Google would be able to find some "researchers" somewhere who said something like Myata wants to believe all researchers say, but flat out all researchers did not say that. There are varying suggestions to causes of the Pine Beetle epidemic including bad forest management. Most likely it was a mixture of causes. The beetle spread was in areas like Fort Nelson that were plenty cold enough to kill beetle larvae. And there have been beetle spreads in regions to the south that have always had similar winters to the ones in the interior of BC back when there was a noticeable winter warmth around the beginning of the millenium. I know this from listening to others 'researchers' than the ones Myata listens to.1 point

No. It's a result of us, collectively known as the humanity. A tree grew 500 years or maybe twice that. A guy, lumberjack hacked it down in a day to feed his family and made a proud picture. A timber baron sold 100 trees, cut 100 acres and built a mansion. Merchants shipped it overseas and made a good cut. Riches bought it and built mansions. Some went to built ships. Three wars in Europe, countless buildings and mansions destroyed. Wooden ships abandoned and rotting, all in a century. All is fine, all will be great. Nothing can be explained to those who already know. There's only one way to find out. So be it, come the beetles. There should be enough left for us (maybe) and after, who cares?1 point

well, Toronto has always been the most hated place in Canada but when you live in Toronto you don't care because Toronto is like a nation unto itself, the rest of Canada doesn't even exist this is why Toronto should not be in charge of Canada like it is right now because Toronto simply doesn't give a shit about the rest of Canada1 point

Effective management and panic management is not the same thing, just "management". There are effective policies and panic, knee-jerk policies. They are not the same, "just policy". Finland has similar geography, population density, lifestyles, and the cost due to covid is less than half of Ontario's (per capita) and a small fraction of Quebec's. And yes, even without months long lockdowns. Effective policy would include: Current, accurate, detailed and comprehensive monitoring of the situation. Clear, open, honest and active communications with the population, maintaining both trust and engagement, with a focus on voluntary participation and compliance. Effective targeted intervention in the areas and environments of increased or increasing epidemiological risk. Effective management, adjustment and improvement of the epidemiological capacity in the public health care in all relevant areas, including capacity, resources, connection to research for effective treatments and other. That's 4 (at least) and what would be our score on this scale? "Policy" isn't just a word, a good policy is an intelligent and effective action and a good or excellent result. Just one question: what if vaccinations work less than perfectly? Would it be back to square one, all the way to 2020?1 point

I find the entire Westminster Parliament to be broken in Canada anyways the MP's are nothing but craven cronies to power, they are just window dressing the Cabinet Ministers are just those MP's who are the most craven cronies everything is run from the Prime Ministers office as an effective dictatorship nobody is really voting their conscience, nobody is keeping a check on the tiny cabal in the PMO so it doesn't matter who you elect, the same dysfunction will prevail1 point

Exactly. And the vast majority of covid deaths are in long term care facilities. We treated this virus like it was the plague. Like if anyone gets it there’s a good chance they’ll die. When that’s the exact opposite of the truth. It’s the exact opposite of the science. But policy is being made based on emotions, feelings, and panic. With little regard for actual facts. So we get a one size fits all solution, which doesn’t make any sense, and only causes more problems, but on a scale a thousand times bigger than the virus itself.1 point

Essential to understand that this is not about science. No it's something way more basic than science. Like, does the Moon exist, as a planetary body rather than a quarter-size something somehow and sometimes hanging in the sky? If yes, how do we know that? And how can it be proven to someone who came to believe that it's a ball fairies are playing with? If the truck turns on in the morning and iPhone does something every time we click does it have something to do with the Moon being a planetary body rather than a fairies ball? Good question, carry on.0 points
