I've been saying for a while now how hard is it to follow a few simple rules... well the media is reporting that if your a politician it's harder than you think, and if your a liberal well forget about it, I guess it is to hard to expect that those governing this country or in other parties should be able to set the example for the rest of us to follow...what a f***ing joke that is... I wondering now how all those folks that have received fines for breaking the covid rules feel now. Hard to take this whole thing serious if the very people who dreamed up the rules can not abide by them... The country was already heavily divided over this Covid thing... these stunts are just going to drive that wedge in further.... Who should be held reasonable, the party leaders should as everything has to pass through them, yes including approving holidays and they should be held accountable somehow as well ....... Now the members, should be fired, not given the chance to resign but fired, relieved do to bad performance, just so it looks good on the next resume.... i mean giving up a well paying job and all of it's perks for what a few weeks in the sun, must of been one hell of a vacation, one with free presidential suit ,free booze and hookers...it is not very solid decision making, or atleast the kind we want running the country, and if it does not make a difference in the wallet , then perhaps a huge fine , and a shitty reference on their next resume... Why is it that they are above the law ? and don't have to answer to anything

It's interesting that you note the outlier of the 2016 election as the "trend" when discussing midwestern states. Those are close states, that's why they're the only ones that really matter.
