While I cannot prove this without data, I believe the quarantine is a waste of time. For one, we are not quarantining. The grocery stores, liquor and beer were open throughout, and we all mingled there, every single one of us. There is no quarantine by half-measures.
Yet we never heard of outbreaks among the grocery clerks. They are like an experiment unto themselves, and you better believe had there been a correlation it would make big bold headlines. The silence speaks.
Since we have evidence that danger of the virus is age-specific, there is a good argument to be made that the shutdown is completely the wrong step to take. We didn't know at the beginning, ok fine. We know now, and have known for about a month. Every day we wait is one more nail in the coffin for future.
