  1. 1. Huge waste of time for America. 2. Loss of potential independent voters for Democrats. It's obvious that Trump will survive a Senate vote. I reckon that non-Democrat voters, everyone else in the world knows this. ===== Leftist Americans, anti-Trump Americans, Californian-Americans - are still, well, Americans. Trump knows this.

  2. Who am I making excuses for? US wrongly tortured prisoners, the Canadian gov is also complicit in wrongly keeping Omar in gitmo. Omar and his family are also pieces of crap. You feel sorry for the guy and think he's a victim, others think he's just a POS. I think he's both. Most anyone who ever murdered anyone has some kind of sob story, whether from their upbringing or whatever. Aboriginals in jail, poor black Americans, Charles Manson, whomever. It's fine and even good to have some empathy for them but at the end of the day people are still responsible for their own actions despite their sob stories and should be held accountable. At the root of most politics is victim/oppressor narratives and who you feel sorry for vs not. Terrorists don't use uniformed armies they use asymmetrical warfare, and they're already here. They attacked our politicians inside Parliament Hill, have attacked military soldiers and locations within Canada numerous times, have gone off to fight for ISIS and returned etc. Everyone has blood on their hands, so choose your loyalty and choose wisely.

  4. So based on this logic those people who come from Middles East that use Hebrew, Farsi, Turkish or Arabic are economically less successful immigrants in Canada just because they are from Middle East and don't use Roman alphabet? Really!? is that your benchmark to assess if someone is a successful immigrant? That doesn't make sense....A university credential is based on its academic achievements, number of pupils in employment, amount of money it spends on research and development..... That is regardless if this university is in a third world country or a developed country. There are in fact some universities from those third world countries that get scholarship and have exchange students in place...The merits of a university credentials is measured based on academics' achievement not on the premise that it qualifies as English speaking country. Your blanket statement is just a generalisation that whoever comes from a certain region of the world cannot possibly have a good degree because a) their alphabet is not roman b) they are from third world country therefore not educated enough c) If a person comes from that Middle East region then they must be unworthy immigrants that can only speak broken English. Is it only me here or does anyone else agree that this sentiment is a generalisation on a group of people that borderlines racism. Enquiring mind likes to know....

  5. Really? You spend a huge amount of time on here arguing that 'certain groups' (ie, non-'Europeans', especially Muslims) should not be accepted as immigrants or refugees to Canada. 15 years, over 47,000 posts, Argus, mostly anti-Muslim: "Muslims make me very uncomfortable." (Argus, 2004) Some things don't change. Lol A question: If you support immigration from "some countries" (eg, 'European') over others, how could you weed out and deny immigration to Muslims from European countries? Wouldn't it serve your purposes more directly to simply deny immigration to Muslims from any/all countries?

  6. Then demand the transparency that will show Trump absolutely innocent. If Trump is innocent then he himself is the cause of all of this fuss by not providing the documentation and witnesses that proves it. But of course its just common sense why the guilty attempt to hide their guilt. What strange excuse can you come up with for that? In fact, what is the official reason and the reason promoted by his supporters? Farcically, they make up all kinds of reasons why what happened, happened. But they are unable to provide any even imaginary reason for not supplying supporting documentation and witnesses.

  9. Trudeau does that on his own but while we disagree on Trudeau we can agree this thread is a sad and transparent attempt to incite name calling. Regards Mr. Zog

  11. Thats not what I said, I said there are already techniques to interview people to find certain things out such as extremists etc., but we lack the will to ie train people to use them. I mean border guards do get training on how to read people, and what questions to ask , I'm sure that training could be refined and used in immigration. Why do I have such faith, well I know it works because reading people has saved the lives of a few military people when working a vehicle check point, looking for IED's and or terrorist...and well i'm far from being an expert i'm sure someone that had more than 5 mins training like we did , could be a lot more effective... Interviewing someone for a job is way different than allowing them into the country. most of the companies I had interviews with were some guy off the floor placed in the HR position with no formal training...And I did not say interviews are the end all be all, one has to take that info and follow it up, such as phoning references, doing back ground / criminal checks etc etc... Not investing into it will also not solve anything, so I guess we are stuck in some endless cycle right.....all solutions require a few things one is will to find a solution, carry it out and to fund it...thats not being naïve thats just how things are.

  13. Ah but that's the new favorite word for the left and its activists! There's no more disapproval or disagreement or even dislike! There's no judgement based on what you've seen and heard and experienced of a given group. There's no wariness or doubt or suspicion about a group's demonstrated behaviour, no prejudice. Either you fully approve of, like and admire a given group or you 'hate' them. Apparently the Left finds this a more useful pejorative to use for anyone who disagrees with them as it evokes a red faced angry/furious, raging person who isn't thinking logically. As opposed to someone who has considered the available information and made a decision as to what is in their own and their country's best interests.

  14. To some of us, this is just another footnote in history, but to my darling wife, it is a sad reminder of what one of her beloved aunts survived. She also suffered serious health problems directly as a result of her time there, as no doubt many others did. Sometimes I worry that the constant and consistent rehash of the Holocaust risks fomenting the anger of the skinhead types, and that is no doubt true. But, if you have EVER heard first hand accounts of the Nazi death camps or for that matter the Japanese occupation of China (as I have), then you know that these stories really MUST be told.
