  1. Indeed... I think Canadian liberals also haven't learned the lesson correctly from this Trump phenomenon. When the wind slightly blows to the right side, they rush to extreme left to balance it like what a sailor would do to his/her sailboat. These Canadian politicians are supposed to know better that when you drive a car on icy road, if the car is skidding to right, it will be better that you don't turn the steering wheel to left immediately. You should let go the wheel and let the vehicle to weaken the trend and regain its balance first...then you can consider which direction you want to go---beware, still don't turn the wheel to left too hard unless you want to lose control again...

  2. Team Trump's trade strategy and latest escalation to $100 billion presents China with an interesting problem: Because the U.S. - China trade imbalance is so large, China can no longer match threatened U.S. tariffs, as China doesn't import nearly as much from the U.S. China has run out of room to counter Trump's tariff threats unless China imposes tariffs far above Trump's, but China wants to be the adult in the room and not cause further escalation.

  3. Donald Trump became President of the United States in part because Democrats lost their way on immigration, blurring legal lines for progressive ideals and political expediency. Trump exploited this vulnerability, and continues to do so. President Obama was smart enough to skirt around the trap....Hillary Clinton was not. How the Democrats Lost Their Way on Immigration

  4. Well, I hope that never happens. Today there is pretty much no need for Asians to integrate. Asians are strongly becoming the majority in BC along with the East Indians who are not far behind. Asians are immigrating by the thousands into BC every year. A recipe for disaster for the rest of the BC'ers who will then have to learn to live with and who may soon be dominated by a totally foreign Asian culture one day that will not have to worry about assimilating at all and they will probably work on trying to make the rest of BC'ers assimilate into their Asian culture. After all Asians already have their own TV, radio stations, churches, cultural centers, businesses/big property owners, and Asian newspapers to read. It would appear as though the Asians are already on the march to takeover BC, and the Caucasian people of this province are totally oblivious as to what is going on and who appear to not give a dam. BC'ers can thank their pro multicultural money grabbing politicians for this mess. It will be interesting to see what BC will look like in another two decades. It won't be me that will have to worry about it as much as my grandchildren will. All I am trying to do is sound the alarm to the coming danger. I want my grandchildren to grow up in a province that they can call their own homeland and not some foreign owned homeland. At least that is the way I see things happening now. My opinion.

  6. Pandering to Sikhs? As a method to win a riding nomination, doable. Win the riding? Possible. Win a leadership of a minor federal party? Depends on the party. ======= "...isn't a foreigner"? Sorry, if he wears a religious symbol always, for many older Canadians - he's an ignorant foreigner. In Canada, trust me, we have no desire to relive religious disputes/wars. ===== Jagmeet, Jimmy, please remove your headdress (sometimes) and show that you represent all Canadians.

  7. A part of this story which might have passed overlooked Canada is home to the world’s largest Sikh population outside India, which helped elect 17 Sikh Canadians to Parliament in the 2015 election. Seriously? Are there that many Sikhs in parliament? These people have been extremely busy politically. They're less than 1.5% of the population, but they take over local riding associations by having everyone in the local temples go down and plonk down a few bucks to buy a membership card to ensure THEIR guy is candidate. The problem with this is the Sikhs in Canada are mostly foreign born and appear to be obsessed with India and Sikh separatism. Even Singh who was born in Canada, has spent much of his life jaunting around the world in pursuit of a Sikh homeland in India. A few years ago he persuaded the disgusting Wynne government in Ontario to declare the Indian government attack on their golden temple in India "genocide" which is ludicrous in every rational sense of the word. It also ignores that this temple was packed with armed and violent radicals and terrorists who had been murdering government officials. Almost a thousand Indian soldiers died in the attack. You can imagine what that did to Ontario's chances of trade deals with India. But guys like Singh don't seem to care about Canada's interests. The federal Liberals, similarly influenced by their frantic pursuit of Sikh votes has basically made the Indian government an enemy, ignoring Canada's best interests in pursuit of immigrant voters. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-jagmeet-singh-attended-seminar-with-sikh-youth-leader-who-advocated/
