If Christianity was spread by the sword (or gun) it would have spread back through the middle east and everyone there would be a Christian now. Islam spread into the Middle East and took over former Christian lands by the sword, and kept pushing towards Europe until they were stopped by force of arms. They kept pushing into India and slaughtering Hindus until they were stopped and pushed back by force of arms. If Christians had the same mentality there'd be no more Muslim countries. They'd all have been conquered and converted by the sword back around WW2.

I would support efforts to empower muslim women to make whatever personal choices they want, and to join us in shrugging off patriarchy.

Incorrect on all 3 points. - I suggest you cannot "not" support dictators, because non-dictators are nowhere to be found. - Peace requires all parties to agree and to cooperate, for it to work. War does not. Peace is noticeably absent in the book of history. - Parents punishing kids is a poor analogy, where parents represent a symbol of fairness and virtue. Who is the parent on the world stage? Which superpower is the parent, or which country. A better analogy is a playground where the kids are all bad, and no parents to be found. One kid's a bully who will beat the shit out of ya, the other's a criminal who'll knife you when no one's looking. So pick your poison. Your confusion seems clear on this... you have idealized our adversaries as though they are more peaceful than us, as though they are purely victims of the west. You ignore the evil things that they do to one another, and also the good works that are done by western civilization. Perhaps you prefer that the middle east be ruled by fanatics like Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the mastermind of Sept. 11 who inspired many Jihadis such as yourself to pray for planes to hit our buildings.

In Canadian Politics, anything other than advocating for unlimited publicly funded abortions without restriction is an attack on women. It's as extreme a position as one that bans abortions outright. Regardless Harper, Brown and even Sheer know that social issues are political losers in Canada, so they won't touch it. It's the Left that keep talking about it, so they can create the narrative of their competition.

They passed this law banning people from protesting abortion clinics. They assumed the there'd be a faction of the PCs, including Brown, that would oppose it. When they said, sure lets pass that law! the new narrative is that he's a flip flopper. Coming from the Ontario Liberals, that's the most ironic thing ever. This narrative will smack of the Hidden Agenda crap from people who tried to keep Stephen Harper from office. It's fear mongering.

I don't care about his policies. As long as he's not Hitler or Stalin he's better than Wynne. I think a PC gov would clean up the ON mess more than an NDP gov, or at least I hope.

I doubt adopting this "new club feature" will do much to rescue a near defunct forum. Perhaps shedding a conspiracy theorist moderator would work much better. However I hasten to add, MLW has corralled a number of posters that are best kept corralled. Carry on.
