  2. For a larger understanding of this history, I recommend watching the PBS videos about James Hill: https://www.pbs.org/video/episode-1-xpovlk/ Hill was born in Ontario.
  3. Today
  4. If Canadians want to live in Halifax, or Calgary or suburban Toronto: they should be free to do so, respecting local laws. Federal state pension contributions/receipts should be equivalent/transferable across Canada. Like established federal state health care schemes. Canada is a federal state with two federal official languages. Canada has no official cultural. ===== Herbie, Canada works. Why?
  5. Disagree. Missed chance. ==== All numbers. I saw no passion for this country.
  6. The first 10 amendments to the US Constitution restrict what the State can do. They protect the minority (an individual) against the tyranny of the majority (the State). Our Canadian Charter of Rights does the same. In theory, the premise of both is that an individual cannot physically change: language, sex, skin colour, religion, opinion. But what happens in a future society where technology/customs allow individuals to change sex, religion, language, skin colour?
  7. So what you're saying is You're taking this as a joke? This is just shit and giggles for you? I suppose that's my fault for thinking it was a serious question. Asking you to clarify was a mistake, I should have known you were just pissing around to begin with.
  8. Well the greens were invited and had originally said that they would meet the criteria, it was literally the day of the french debate when they were told they couldn't participate because they didn't meet the criteria. So i'm sure it was a case that it was too late to change.
  9. Pierre did fine. And he did get his share of you had a choice sir moments in there. He's very clearly trying to look less attack doggy and less adversarial, which some people will agree with him some won't, but his response to the security clearance question was not only a punch in the face to carney But Carney's body language clearly showed that it upset him. There weren't a lot of gotcha moments but there's no doubt that poilievre did very well even if he didn't deliver a giant knockout, Jaggers came across looking horrible and desperate and really couldn't make a case, carmen came across less comfortable than he has before and there were a lot of questions he just couldn't answer and clearly if blanchet was running in every province he probably would be standing a good chance of winning today. It'll take three or four days for everything to sink in but I expect the liberal support in Quebec to drop noticeably and I expect carney will continue his slide and poilievre will begin to surpass him and more and more polls. Poilievre really kind of needed a knockout punch to really move the dial but I guess he was just worried about looking like an angry person again and being criticized so we played it safe and that may pay off.
  10. Did anyone else notice the background in the debates had five dotted stripes in the background? One for each political party including green for the Greens. CBC said they produced the debates. Maybe they were sure the Greens would be invited and it was too late to change the background, or someone wanted to remind viewers the Greens were not there throughout.
  11. DOGE assigns staffers to work at agency where it allegedly removed sensitive data AKA, HUGE conflict of interest that Muskrat has LIED TO the public would not exist. 🤮
  12. The gold bugs weren’t a large social movement. Social media has brought a lot of distrust together and amplified it. Crypto may be a fad but human alienation from an increasingly automated economy is only going to grow.
  13. In Canada, for better or worse, people like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris are still around in parliament to argue. Diefenbaker, Churchill.
  14. It’s become obvious since Trudeau’s government made land acknowledgments and shaming the country over false claims of mass graves at Residential Schools the norm, Canada can no longer develop resources or prevent a hemorrhaging of tax dollars towards groups that the government has designated as victims. Discriminatory racialized-only job postings are normalized in Canada. Constant pressure is being exerted on the government by activist groups that are funded by taxpayers to give tax revenue to those who don’t pay taxes and benefit from special status. My guess is that Canadians are powerless to stop this unsustainable and discriminatory mess due to our weak Constitution, politicized state-funded media, and Liberal-appointed judges. If not even the Conservatives can reverse this (not that the Conservatives can win anymore in Canada due to a highly indoctrinated public), then it’s inevitable that younger people with brains who want a better life will start pushing for Canada to join the U.S. in greater numbers. Canada has to be able to create wealth for its citizens. Over-regulation and endless consultation make it too costly to build pipelines, refineries, high speed rail, homes, the list goes on. Government bureaucracy has grown 40% under the Liberals. Canadians now earn 33% less than Americans. If the Liberals are re-elected, I’m not sure young people will have any interest in propping up the self-serving federal government several years from now. It wrings money from the public and can’t even do justice to federal responsibilities like defence.
  15. In 2016, everyone thought that Clinton would win. All the polls predicted her win. She lost. In 2025, everyone thinks Carney will win. All the polls predict it. I think he will win, but maybe only a minority.
  16. No one's getting out alive.
  17. Sure, it's just another shit and a giggle to you isn't it?
  18. Carney is a technocrat. From Singh or even Blanchet, I was expecting a Mulroney-style response: "You don't speak for Canada!" A huge loss for Poilievre. As Mulroney once said: "You could have refused.... " ====== You fish where there are fish.
  19. You keep Rosie O'Donnell out of this.
  20. No that was the mistake you made. I never said any such thing. I referred to the group and I am 100% correct Not only am I correct about it you've already admitted that and complained about how it's such a small difference it doesn't really make a big difference. Then you realize that doesn't matter you just admitted I was right I said : "No it doesn't give the other parties any additional time at all." You said it did. And you were SOOO proud of yourself, tried to do the whole 'count the apples' thing... and then i pointed out you are entirely wrong LOL The other parties don't get any additional time to attack, they actually get less Simple math and you got it wrong "If I have 2 pies, cut one into five slices and one into four, and take one slice away from each, which one is bigger after?" That's an elementary school question and you got it wrong LOLOL And yes I will be Laughing at you about this for quite some time Expect it to come up frequently. When you say something stupid i'll just say "hey kid, which pie is bigger?" LOLOL
  21. Sure.... just like you did with justin! THat sure worked out great....
  22. Why? And which one specifically? Nonsense, they all thought of him as a friend! I distinctly heard one of them refer to him as their chum! Ohhh...wait a minute.....
  23. Carney is not a tall man. He is visibly shorter than Singh.
  24. Hands only ever have 5 fingers. Except if they have a mutation where there are 6. You’re not equipped to even have a conversation if you can’t see that it’s contradictory to say biological sex is binary, except when it’s not.
  25. If she has blue eyes, she's electable.
