Many women dislike Trump & Poilievre: Why?
SpankyMcFarland replied to August1991's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
Hitler made modern Germany? Does any responsible German politician celebrate Hitler’s ‘achievements’? How do they compare with Trudeau’s legislative record as minister and prime minister on homosexuality, contraception, abortion, breathalyzer tests, capital punishment, bilingualism, multiculturalism, health care, access to information, patriation of the Constitution and of course, the Charter? Does Poilievre demand that the reforms of Trudeau in all these areas be scrapped? On the economy, national cohesion and the relationship with the US, Trudeau made serious mistakes but in no way should he be compared to Hitler. - Today

I like a lot of this. To me, practical people of the left and right need to start leading versus following. Especially in Canada, where to my my experience most people are practical about our prospects. Social issues like birth control, abortion, divorce haven't changed much I don't think. So I don't expect those areas to be in the arena of discussion of policy. Immigration though, is now an open question. I agree that progressives aren't talking about it enough.

And like the REM in Montreal, it should be the Caisse (and the Ontario Teacher's fund) who pay for this electrified TGV passenger rail between Toronto and Montreal. Why should a person working minimum wage in Halifax or Calgary pay any tax to subsidise anyone traveling between Toronto and Windsor?

At great expense to all Canadians, our federal Liberal government is about to create (buy, expropriate land) a new right of way between Quebec City and Windsor, Ontario. (Note: This TGV will never exist. It is like the roof of the Olympic Stadium in Montreal.) Yet, we Canadians already have such a right of way. At issue, IMHO, we must decide how to use this right of way. -The land of the railtracks between Montreal and Toronto belong to Canadians. Let's expropriate this land from the CN and CP. -Let's build bridges/tunnels to ensure that passenger rail lines in this right of way never cross a road. (At present, there are several hundred.) -Let's electrify these passenger lines between Montreal and Toronto.

Couldn't be worse or more corrupt than it is NOW, with Alito and Thomas getting payoffs from wealthy RepubliCONS. Maybe you don't know about the expensive vacations and the quarter $million motor home that Thomas received from Harlan Crowe among OTHERS. I know FOS LIES never told you about those. LMAO -

Defeating federal Liberals: Corruption

Diefenbaker did it in 1957. Mulroney did it in 1984. Harper did it in 2008. ==== In the past, at some point, the federal Liberals become obviously corrupt. Nowadays, in 2026, I'm not sure.

The FACT that you didn't know that, means you never had a Secret clearance. LMAO

I will set aside this claim about Trump and his family - possibly true. My point is that the PQ and the NDP (like Trump) want us to buy local, to make our place better.
