  1. I dunno. It's tough dealing with hundreds of kms of tunnels. During the last major war between Israel and terrorists the Israelis lost a lot of tanks. They can't afford to keep firing expensive missiles at cheap rockets, losing tanks, and losing soldiers. "Going in" to an urban environment is costly. "Semi-flattening and then going in" is much less so. What they're doing comes at a terrible cost to Gazans, but Gazans are angling for a genocide against them. Canadians have never had to fight a war with so much at stake. We just helped other people on other continents, we never had to protect our own families from certain genocide. We can't really judge Israelis by the way they fight vs how we fought IMO.
  2. Well, you did, but I'll give you a pass based on your limited ability to speak/interpret the English language. That's 100% fine by muslim logic: more than 10x as many Sikhs and Hindus were kicked out of Pakistan - with no right to return - and muslims are perfectly fine with that. Why are they upset about when Israel did it on such a smaller scale? The Pakistanis murdered more people in 1947 than were displaced in 1948, and the muslims are all a-ok with that too. Why do you think they're so hypocritical about these issues? Could it be pure, violent islamic religious bigotry? I'll give you a hint: it's nothing else. What the Gazans are doing IS part of a genocide. They want to keep this conflict going long enough and generate enough propaganda photo-ops (aka dead women and children) to get a really good genocide against Jews started. Just remember - if what happened in Pakistan was fine then what happened in Israel was nothing.
  3. It's not a genocide, dummy. Israel is fighting Hamas, and Hamas has hundreds of kms of tunnels under Gaza. When you fight people in tunnels, you either use bombs or you throw the lives of your soldiers away, and Israel needs every soldier they have to prevent an actual genocide. FYI Gaza forced Israel to fight, and Israel has the option of fighting their way. Israel has no choice but to win because if they lose, there will be an actual genocide, like Pakistan did in 1948 and again in 1971. Not like what happened in 1948 in the region they're in now. You've been wrong about basically everything that you've ever said here, but none of it has been as consequential as this. You seem to think that an actual genocide against Israelis, killing millions of people, should be an option.
  4. @gatomontes99My whole point in that other post is that there's a legitimate war going on, and civilians should be getting out of the way. I have friends from the ME and unfortunately it's not uncommon there. More than one Christian from the ME has told me that when they flee their homes in the middle of the night, leaving everything behind, they just call it "going on vacation", and then they laugh. My wife's best friend did that twice before her family came to Canada. It's gallows humour I guess. It's obviously extremely traumatic for them, leaving a community and friends behind forever just to go somewhere else and start from scratch, but they have to move on I guess. Wallowing in it would be a death, of sorts. If you ever hear someone from the ME say "vuteverrr" and then chuckle when something unfortunate happens, it's likely because they've been through so much that a mere broken TV set is small potatoes compared to what they've been through.
  5. If my family was in Gaza, with all the rockets and bombs going each way, I'd get them out. Any decent Gazans feel the same way. The only people still there are people who can't go to Egypt either because Egypt won't let them in or Hamas won't let them out. Hamas apologists: "Israel shouldn't go after Hamas. They should leave them alone to manufacture more rockets and bombs." I said that to robo, not you. Look again 😉
  6. Oh look, another io post that's not about the thread topic. Can you address the topic that leftist posters are constantly sucked in by false narratives or not? How legit were the "gentle giant" narratives that caused widespread violence and racial division? The Sandman narrative, no inflation, transitory inflation, awesome Afghanistan withdrawal, no Americans were left behind, the laptop is Russian disinformation, Russian collusion, mostly peaceful protests, the gov't was almost overthrown on Jan 6th, seditious mobs, Jussie Smollett, don't say BSL4, kids need covid jabs, pandemic of the unvaccinated, etc...? How is it that leftists always end up on the retarded side of history? A lot of leftists are educated, yet they shriek the dumbest, most debunked BS I've ever heard in my life. How did anyone with an IQ over 80 ever end up being so wrong for so long about the above topics - in the face of all evidence - if they're not just cultists? And make no mistake, they were 100% wrong all along and that's established fact now. Can you make the case that they're all that stupid?
  7. Trump said that war would end on day 1 of his presidency. Not that he wouldn't fund it. Stop lying you greasy little leftist.
  8. It was sarcasm. He's saying that if Israel is committing a genocide, they're doing it all wrong. Get it? Eg, when the Pakistanis drove 8M Sikhs and Hindus out, and murdered 800,000 of them, they weren't busy trying to feed them at the same time. The people who fled Pakistan on foot were in such a rush that after a few days and nights of walking with no food and water, they had to leave their little babies behind in the desert to fend for themselves. Lack of food and water helped the Pakistanis drive up the body count.
  9. Ironically it's a hamas supporter who's accusing conservatives of being violent.
  10. Don't you remember leftists saying "gentle giant", long after we knew that Floyd and Brown weren't that at all? And saying "mostly peaceful protests", and bailing out rioters for years? OK'ing violent attacks on the WH? Shrugging off police stations being overrun and calling the hostile takeover of part of Seattle "The Summer of Love"? Even continuing to push violence when little black kids were being shot and killed by BLM? Michelle Obama wasn't shy about supporting all of that violence. Neither was Kamala Harris. They LOVE rioting and violence. Barack Obama stood in front of 5 murdered cops, at their funeral, and made it about slavery and Jim Crow laws. Leftist politicians always stoke violence. Always. From May 2014 - Aug 2020 it was more than half of the time. They do it for months on end, even while people are dying and communities are being destroyed. And you wanna talk about 'all conservatives' now because of one quote from Tom Cotton? There's a special place in hell for people like you, robo.
  11. Support the war is a pretty broad brush. Sometimes there are people - like Trump and the 2nd Iran war, famously - who aren't in favour of a certain war starting, but once it does, fully support their country and want them to 'win'. There are people in favour of the war but not the current level of destruction. Or even ok with the destruction but who want more action on the hostage front. "Support the war" basically includes anyone who isn't enamoured with being bombarded by rocket barrages. "Saul, are you in favour of this war?" "No way, Benjamin. I miss the rocket barrages from Gaza. We have a great view of all the rockets and the falling bombs from our deck. It's way better than watching it on TV."
  12. It's tragic that anyone had to be killed at all, going right back to 1948 and beyond, but it's a war zone now and mistakes happen everywhere. Especially in the fog of war. If there was a war happening in Washington State, I think everyone here (even the harsh pro-Hamas types) would agree 1,000% that Canada would let the women and children cross our southern border. Especially if the population of Wash State was only 2M people, like Gaza. That would only be 1M women and kids... We could find room for that many women and children in the Fraser Valley, no one would have to go as far as Kamloops. Canadians: "Hmmmm, should we let the women and children of Wash State come to Canada, or leave them there to dodge rockets and bombs, while going hungry and living in the dark...?" FFS, we'd even let the men come up here (until the war is completely over. No back-and-forth). Why didn't Egypt let the Palestinians come? Better yet, why didn't Hamas let them go? Can you ask the pro-Hamas folks that question? Robo and EF might answer you, but not me. And remind those guys that Gaza is only 25 miles long and 2 miles wide... a lot of women could do 25 miles on foot, in one day, and everyone under 50 could do it in 3. There'd be some elderly to be evacuated by car or whatever, but that's easily doable in 1 day, and Oct 7th was over 6 months ago. The women and children are there in Gaza for one reason, and one reason alone: hamas, islamic jihad, Iran, and all the other Khartoum resolution jack-offs need women and children to die for the publicity. Dead kids are huge sellers for the hate/religious bigotry/pro-ethnic-cleansing mongers, like Iranian mullahs and hamas. They're popular for the hate-mongers on campus as well.
  13. I heard that a lot of their rockets are built using repurposed water pipes for fuselages. They can build sophisticated murder machines from scraps, but they can't use their billions of dollars in aid to make one of the nicest regions of the planet fit for humans to live comfortably.
  14. Now I see where the miscommunication is coming from: when muslims says they want a 2-state solution they mean alive and dead. 2 states of existence. Say what you want, but at least they're not lying.
