Bob Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I'm wondering what difference it makes ..... It doesn't make any difference, I'm just speculating for curiosity's sake. Quote My blog - bobinisrael.blogspot.com - I am writing on it, again!

Bob Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) No...I think at some point during her adolescence she was torn deciding to be either a goth or a muslim...she inuitively knew that at some point, both had their pluses (for a plus sized gal) spiffy clothes, ready made friends, toe tapping music...but the epiphant was probably the certain lnmowledge that no matter how socially awkward, even chunky muslims get laid... What are you basing that speculation on, though? If anything, the brief clip leads me to believe otherwise. As we discussed just a moment ago, her pronunciation of her name shows a good Arabic accent, suggesting to me that she's not some recent convert. I really don't think she's converted and too some Arabic-Islamic name. She's look ethnically Muslim to my eyes, as well. Shakeyhands Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 A girl trying to fit in at an American school by wearing what she had on? It's obvious she wasn't saying what she thought she should parrot, she spoke of not wanting to say what would get her in trouble. She obviously has some intelligence by the way she expresses herself. She's educated and has been admitted to a university, so I'm pretty sure she's not retarded or has mental issues. She's a muslim, and she hates Jews. And she's arrogant enough about it that when pressed she won't hide her bigotry. Her oman has probably spoken to her already, saying she should simply lie in cases like these because the infidels don't understand how evil Jews are to the world. When I spoke of fitting in, it doesn't necessarily mean with the soriety girls. Fitting in to an identifiable group, no matter what that group believes in. Muslims, Young Republicans or even Goth's qualify. Nor did I say she was retarded, but rather what she said was, in my opinion. Shakeyhands Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 This comment is almost as retarded as the one uttered by Topaz. Where is she trying to fit in? And how does an Arab Muslim fit under the definition of WASP? Who said she was Arab? Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Fitting in to an identifiable group, no matter what that group believes in. Muslims, Young Republicans or even Goth's qualify. Well, in that case, if her view regarding Jews is one that makes her feel as if she "fits in" with the Muslim Student Association on campus, one has to wonder about the MSA and it's views, and what it's promoting, wouldn't you say? I would be inclined to believe that that's not the prevailing view of the MSA. I sure hope not. Quote
Bob Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Who said she was Arab? I think she's an Arab. She's got an Arabic name and pronounced it with a good Arabic accent. Quote My blog - bobinisrael.blogspot.com - I am writing on it, again!

Shady Posted May 15, 2010 Author Report Posted May 15, 2010 This is the full video of the cartoonist attacked at a lecture last week. It fits in well with the video of the Muslim student confessing a desire for a 2nd holocaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2IHnWY-i6Y&feature=player_embedded Do we still think its just a "few bad apples?" Well they sure exercised THEIR free speech...at all other's expense, of course. Forced the one fellow to flee...threatened violence now and in the future (are you looking for trouble?)...swore a lot...threatened police officers. All in all a successful event. Remiel Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 That was just... bizarre. But, the amount of "evidence" you muster to try and unjustly convict all Muslims of seeking the destruction of the Jews is about equal to the amount and quality of "evidence" used by the classic anti-Semites of yesteryear to persecute the Jews. Bernie Madoff is not the representative of the worlds Jewry, and neither is this girl the representative of its Muslims. ( And by the way, for whoever posted the reference to it above, there is no such thing as a Muslim "ethnicity". ) Quote
Moonlight Graham Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 The video in the OP was disgusting. Kind of chilling. Great to see raging bigotry is a live and well. Do we still think its just a "few bad apples?" And speaking of bigots...you are almost as bad as the people in these videos. Fitting in to an identifiable group, no matter what that group believes in. Muslims, Young Republicans or even Goth's qualify. Indeed. To fit in with what's "normal" is to fit in with nothing at all. Nobody walks down the street feeling kinship with other people wearing the same western clothes that 95% of the population wears. "He that has many friends, has no friends," as the saying goes. On the other hand, being part of something with some niche to it... whether it be the football team, the goths, a sorority, the Dungeons & Dragons club, the Sri Lankan community, the MSA... these are groups that you can actually fit in with. Wearing western clothes in Canada doesn't mean you fit in, it just means you don't attract attention. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
