I don't see why the US should respect us more at all when they have the Political party in power of this at that time slamming the US at every photo op. I don't blame them.

Mr. Chretien slammed the USA as have many in the Liberal party publicly. Most of the left wing slams the US at every turn. Why should they respect us more when many of our citizens slam them at every opportunity to get a photo taken or a few words in a paper?

Look at what this country did the day of 9-11. We opened this country to planes and people, the majority of them US.

Jack and Staphane didnt get elected. If they were attacking the US, (and they werent) it was rejected anyhow.

Right...the only time the US pays any attention to Canada is when Canadians are slamming us! From vulgar CBC opinion pieces to stomping on plastic dolls. "Damn Americans....I hate those bastards." :lol: LOL!

I thought you were going to stop generalizing? I am on the centre - left and I don't slam the US. We may not always like what they do, but I don't see much slamming being done most of the time.

Still very imprecise...you could accurately support low job aproval ratings for President Bush...about 25% presently. He also had the highest approval ratings ever in 2001. The US Congress must really be "disliked", because their ratings are even lower...about 11% approval.

That is still completely beside the point that I was actually making. Canadians don't hate Americans. We aren't always fond of what you do, but we don't hate you. Canadians though, do not like George Bush.

Again..more imprecision. Most Canadians do not like President Bush's policies.....but have no personal experience with the man. Some Canadians do "hate" Americans, and at least one has stated so publicly.
