Jack Weber
That's too damned bad. Welfare is supposed to be temporary help not a permanent source of income. Plenty of immigrants are on welfare and have cars. Go to any welfare office and you'll see many cars in the parking lot. Welfare recipients coming and going...driving themselves in their tax payer funded autos from their tax payer funded housing to their Welfare offices to get their cheques for life. We're paying money for these immigrants to live in Canada. Our tax dollars are funding their lifestyles. Our tax dollars are paying for their mortgage, their car payments, insurance, groceries and electronics. The immigration system in this country is fraud on the Canadian people. We're being bullied into this by the vocal left who want everything to be socialized like a communist state. This is their trial run, with the immigrants. Open your eyes. Non white immigrants are given huge cheques when they land in Canada. Money for down payments for houses, money for cars. The poor non white immigrants get tons of money handed to them so therefore many of them have cars. Let's see...Let me get out the Mr.Falange Social Cluelessness Tote Board... 1.Link Immigrants to Welfare sponges...Check 2.Move rapidly into a polemnic on the Canadian immigration system...Check 3.Make specious claim that Canada is morphing into a Communist state...Check 4.Play skin colour of certain immigrant groups off against one another...Check All this in a thread about the 407.... Don't ever change,Mr.Falange...You provide so much comic relief for us.. Edited January 30, 2011 by Jack Weber

Many welfare people do have cars. Many immigrants are given money to buy houses, to start businesses and cars upon arrival to Canada. Whereas Canadians must work very hard for these things. These are facts. Edited January 30, 2011 by Mr.Canada

Canadians have access to venture capital, government grants and guarantees and other business / work incentives. You just have to know where to look. Welfare people have clunkers / other people's discards. Yes it moves on roads but I would hardly call it a car. However, those on welfare whom have been given their cars or been able to purchase them at really low cost often do not have the money for insurance and gas. So they don't get very far.... The facts are that it's very hard for immigrants to get started in Canada, and this has been well documented in recent years. The idea that they drive up to a cash window at Canadian immigration and receive cash and gift certificates is part of a byzantine paranoid dreamscape shared by you and other nutty far-rightists. It's reality Michael. If that's hard for you to swallow....well that's another topic. It is happening and has been happening for years perhaps even decades. Poor ethnic immigrants get money for housing, cars, electronics, groceries and more upon arrival, just for showing up. All tax payer funded while poor Canadian born people must struggle while paying the same taxes. The Canadian must strive and save while the poor ethnic immigrant gets it all handed to them with no effort and no paying into our system. This is unfair and one reason our taxes continue to go up. This is what's fueling the "me too" hand out campaign. Everyone now wants something for nothing. The immigrant children have grown up in this environment and have seen the government hand out to their parents and figure they're entitled to our tax dollars as well. If we balk, they cry racism and drag us to a human rights tribunal. Canada has enough free loaders we don't need to import any more.

You really do liken yourself to a modern day "John Brown Clarion Call/Voice in the Wilderness" type who will be proven right long after the fact, don't you? How's the Gay Street Porn Chronicles going from last summer??? Edited January 30, 2011 by Jack Weber

You have already shown that you're not willing to consider other points of view. The hardships that immigrants go through has been well documented for years now, but they don't fit into your pre-judgements I suppose. The truth about immigration, produced, edited and directed by Mr. Canada. Watch as immigrantds are carefully screened at our airports and non-whites are discreetly directed to a private lounge. Recoil in horror as they are handed cheques in the ten of thousands of dollars. Feel the shiver down your spine as they are driven in their new luxury car to the mansions allocated to them, stoppping on the way at the welfare office. This groundbreaking movie will come right after the release of Mr. Canada's other masterpiece, Flying Bodily Fluids at the Gay Parade. By the way, when are you releasing it? Bonam
The facts are that it's very hard for immigrants to get started in Canada, and this has been well documented in recent years. Really? Why do they come here then? I'll give you a hint: people generally come to Canada because it is a much much better place to live than where they came from. By the way, you're talking to a first generation immigrant. I had no problem "getting started". Canada made it easy. Free education, health care, student loans for university, scholarships for me to go live and study in the states, etc.
