There is a presumption of innocence in this country. Accused people are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. People who are judged not a flight risk and not to pose imminent threat should not have to forfeit their freedom, or their financial security, or their family lives unless they are found guilty of a crime. People should be free to facilitate their own defense in court. An accusation should not materially destroy someone.

That's the justice system at work, and justice writ large as well. It's staggering that an adult doesn't know these things.

It was inevitable. Their entire world view is based on the emotion of the position. They don't have any rational positions. When we challenge their emotional positions, they feel as though they have been personally attacked. That creates anger. Anger held for any period of time, changes the risk/reward logic in the mind. At some point the risk is completely dismissed and the reward (eliminating the "threat") becomes the only option.

I just posted a thread where our senate voted to approve up to 2 years in jail for anyone who "downplays" or casts doubts about how horrible the residential school system.   In other words if you say 'i think the residential school system was intended to be a good thing but it went bad", you go to jail. Not a fine or the like.....  jail. 

This is what the left is doing in europe, this is what they're trying to do i Canada, this is what Kamala harris and her friends would have tried to do to you if they'd gotten the chance.  Don't give them the chance.
