"wrong" ?

That's a new one... is it morally wrong for me to use common and ostensibly polite language/decorum how I see fit ?

I don't think so.

You don't see anything wrong with the Biden Administration helping the LGBTQ community inject its filth into Washington DC and throughout the entire country?

Really? I had no idea.

How come you know so much about this stuff?

Ignorance is bliss I suppose. It looks like knowing has made you crazy.

Who needs that?

People who have miserable lives and attitudes always try and project that onto others. Shrug. Ignore them. In ten minutes they will have something else to hate about. If not this, than that...

Like: It Speaks!

whenever some troglodyte posts about social bullshit as if it matters when there's wars, inflation , visible corruption going on all around them

What's worse is that they use up perfectly good oxygen making themselves look foolish.

And yet you don't.

Says who?

I know lots of people who don't use the new language.

I don't disrespect them based on one thing.

So weird that you make up opinions of mine and then argue against them.

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

you yourself sir.  You have in the past suggested such behavior is wrong.

But hey, maybe i misread. You can clear that up right now by simply agreeing that people should and do have the right to ignore people's request to use specific pronouns.

Correct, just like the people that have a pathological hate for Trump.

Generally speaking when I encounter a person who is biologically one sex but wishes to be referred to by a pronoun indicating a different sex I will almost certainly comply.

Then you are by default definition a disgusting left wing traitor to your ideology, party, species and above all else your filthy gender.

Sorry kiddo, but it's not me that makes up the rules you people live by.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Didn't they just say they would use the general rules of decorum that I said I would follow?

I feel like most people would just follow this path.

As @August1991 says ... we get along.

I feel that the controversy around pronouns is similar to the one around the use of "Ms." In the 1970s.

That controversy died down, I would suggest, because honorifics generally fell out of use and feminism won.

As a voter, I won't tolerate a government that opens the borders and pushes special interests like LGBTQ. It's why I voted for Trump over Harris.

Case in Point. 😏

Case in point?

I said that you believe in communism. Are you trying to say that I'm the one who actually believes in communism and I'm trying to project that onto you? lol

You quoted me and said "case in point".

I replied, and now you're crying like a b*tch.

What's the problem?

I have absolutely no doubt that's what the left thinks like :)

And the rules are ones you just made up this second to support your argument :)

There are similarities for sure, but i think they "won" that one primarily because while most people kind of saw it as childish they didn't see it as a lie and in fact it kind of solved a problem (you didn't have to guess if a woman you were writing to was married or not). It still was a term for a woman who was married (but now also one who wasn't just like Mr).  So it got normalized for practical reasons if nothing else.  Tho i recall a few women testily demanding "it's MISSUS" as well as a few equally mad ones saying "It's MIZ!!", and it's like "Ok, have a meeting and work this out between you please"

But you'll notice that the 'hyphenated name" had far far less success. A lot of women and women's rights people really wanted married people to use hyphenated names for the very same reason as 'ms'.  And that got a LITTLE traction and you still see it ONCE in a while but a lot of men and a fair number of women thought that was downplaying marriage.

I think you'll find the pronoun thing is going to go the same way. It doesn't solve any problems, it makes things messy, it's a lie to begin with and the proponents seem to want to use it as a springboard to demand other rights that people aren't ok with.

So they'll probably get Mr's being called Ms's, that's not too onerous.  But they're not getting traction with they them and ze zir and honestly if they keep demanding rights to go into the opposite sex's communal change showers then i think there will be backlash on the whole thing.

I notice you didn't clarify your position previously as i mentioned, thanks for confirming that i was correct :)

I don't see you saying that anywhere after I asked a questionin fact I don't see you replying to me since then so it seems that your memory may be off. I noticed that seems to happen a lot with you. Further it wouldn't be relevant, that wasn't the question i asked

Let me guess, you had me on ignore for JUST that part of the reply, right? :)  LOLOLOL

Again, you can clear it up right now by simply agreeing that people should and do have the right to ignore people's requests to use specific pronouns.

Do you think people should be penalized for not getting onboard with identity politics?

No, generally.  But that's a very general question right?
