Well when you're used to eating sawdust, anti-freeze and fillers in everything it could be. One Couche-Tard could feed a family for a week. And no antibiotics, hormones or Red #2 either.

I'm highly confused again. Time for another of my trademark naps...

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

Just ragging our Glorious Yank that eating a storefront is probably better for you than a Big Mac.

I love that you think you cleared anything up with that

Western Europe has better neighbours. They have learned to truly respect each other. By contrast, the US is barely able to cope with a trade area of three countries.

Spanky,

Europe has better neighbours? Wtf? Summer 1914....

We Canadians could not wish for a better neighbor.

If I were Poilievre/Carney, I'd remind Trump that you Americans could not wish for a better neighbour.

Is that why all the foreign direct investment is going to America?

As someone who has a number of investments in the US, it's because the way the Trumpicans are slashing away at regulations and corporate taxes while pressuring the fed to cut rates means stocks are having a field day. It will eventually end in disaster, of course, much like the financial crisis, which is why gold, silver, and bitcoins are shooting up through the roof. But in the meantime, I'm making money (in both US stocks and gold/silver/copper), and hope to get most of it out before the collapse.

“This decades-long process of an ever-closer economic relationship between the Canadian and U.S. economies is now over,” Carney said in Ottawa recently (1).

I have come to the conclusion that Carney does not actually want an agreement with the US. He's using Trump and his tariffs and threats for cover. Any economic issue Canada has (and it has plenty) now gets hand-waved away as being due to Trump. He even gets to use it to justify his enormous, bloated budgets.

That's a very real possibility. Carney achieves his goals by staying in power, he doesn't need Canada to be successful in order to achieve that. As long as he avoids complete collapse for the next six or seven years he can borrow what he needs and funnel it out of the country into corporations and Charities which will repay the favor later.

Look at Justin. He left Canada in a complete financial dumpster fire having borrowed more money than all previous prime ministers in our history combined and now is boating around the world in jeans with Katy Perry making tens of millions a year doing nothing.  I think Carney is looking for hundreds of millions a year but he'll have that set up in 3 or 4 years, he doesn't need canada to survive beyond that
