LOL! This is priceless!

"Although climate change will have serious consequences – particularly for people in the poorest countries – it will not lead to humanity’s demise.

This is a chance to refocus on the metric that should count even more than emissions and temperature change: improving lives. Our chief goal should be to prevent suffering, particularly for those in the toughest conditions who live in the world’s poorest countries."

Well well well...looks like the cat's outta the bag now.

I would invite @Michael Hardner, @Hodad, and of course the zucchini prince himself @robosmith, and all other doom's day climate religious, to take this wonderful opportunity to also come clean.

take it away boys.

ROFLMAO!

Your EVIDENCE FREE OPINIONS mean NOTHING wrt to Climate Science.

PS; Bill Gates is no more a climate scientist than Al Gore.

Probably much less since Gore took a class on Climate from Professor Roger Revelle at Harvard.

Of course you don't even know who that is nor why he's an expert on Climate Science. LMAO

IOW you've been caught with your pants down and we're all laughing.

It's great that you trust Bill Gates more than every climate scientist on the planet, but what you're unlikely to understand is that he's re-messaging specifically for people like you. For people who can't grasp nuance. Fools who thinks that anyone has been saying "Aaaaaah, we all gonna die." No, we're not all going to die, but climate change is, as established fact, happening, and it will cause enormous human suffering.

That's your straw man. And he's lowering the bar to the lowest common denominator specifically to eliminate your foolish noise from the conversation. Shifting the conversation toward mitigating human suffering is his concession that yes, it's still happening, but since you people can't get your shit together to avoid climate change, we better start trying to help the people whose lives and livelihoods will be destroyed by it.

So no @Hodad, every climate scientist in the world does not buy what you're trying to sell.

And yes @robosmith, I know about Roger Revelle and how Gore threw him under a bus...after his death like the gutless dweeb he is.

You destructive zombies have lost this issue...just like you lose every issue...as time proves the rational thinkers correct...

Over and over again.

Okay, halfwit, you are welcome to agree with Bill Gates as much as you like. You are welcome to anoint him the arbiter of truth on climate change and the decider of who has won or lost the issue. In that case, to which cause are you donating first?🙄

So you got a few climate sceptics, meanwhile THOUSANDS (even one of the sceptics Judith Curry) agree Climate Change is potentially catastrophic.

What does Dr. Judith Curry say about climate change?

She agreed that the Earth is warming, largely due to human-generated greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, and that the plausible worst-case scenario is potentially catastrophic.

You're just a cheapskate DROPOUT who wants to pass on your mistakes to YOUR CHILDREN.

No serious authority said climate change would lead to humanity's end. But it will do us serious economic, social, and financial damage.

And Gates didn't say climate change isn't one of our most serious problems, he just stated the obvious (which we already knew) that ther are other extremely serious problems as well.

Back in the day, I conceded that risk acceptance was a legitimate response to climate change. I also pointed out that that meant it would be incumbent on those causing the most harm to remediate, if in fact the temperatures increased and impacted normal life.

By those I mean countries and companies..

Conservatives always felt that environmental damage should be given to those accountable.

But the fake conservatives want to to take the risk and do nothing with the consequences.

We’re not all going to die…well, I knew that anyway and it’s the scantest of consolation imaginable. Just think of the heatwaves, wildfires, smog, droughts, floods and hurricanes that are in store for Canada. We also have no idea what feedback loops will kick in as global temperature rises. It’s a terrible risk to run on the only planet we have. That some humans will survive is not a great comfort to me.

When the loudest counter argument - that we can't afford the cost of mitigation - is false, the situation calls our whole political sphere into question.

1. How many times have I and others said 'get off Africa's back and let them develop naturally'? A lot. But no...you climate fops have made greenie crap part of the condition to receiving aid. I haven't looked it up bit would bet greener demands were why Srilanka had such a food tragedy as well. Even Germany has fallen victim to your chickenshit and has had to fire up old coal mines just to get by. And the cost of this folly is incalculable. But are any of you mature enough to admit you've been wrong and simply destructive? Pfft...

2. BULLSHIT!!! Pure Bullshit! Your whole second point is a blatant lie and pathetic as Hell.

3. Again...pure bullshit. You can lie to yourself. But dont try to lie with me. You climmate religious have already shown that you'll willingly crap on your own nations and the entire world because...

"AHHH!!! WE ALL GONNA DIIIEEE!!!"

Well not to worry Spanky. You'll live. And if we stop this war on oil and gas, you'll have electricity and heat for winter as well.

Just think, affordable energy again. And no freaks screaming about nonsense anymore.

Now, if we could make the same freaks admit the truth about genetics...things would really be nice.

That's elementary.

What's the root word of gender?

Gene.

Thus, your genes determine your gender.

So a 14th century word comes from a 20th century word? Time travelling, maybe?

Gender - 14th century
Gene - 1909

What is the root of gender?

From 14th century
Derivation. The modern English word gender comes from the Middle English gender, gendre, a loanword from Anglo-Norman and Middle French gendre. This, in turn, came from Latin genus. Both words mean "kind", "type", or "sort".

What is the root word for gene?

The term "gene" was coined by Danish botanist Wilhelm Johannsen in 1909, derived from the Greek word genos meaning "birth," "race," or "procreation"
The word gene takes its root in the ancient Greek, where génos means the race, which comes from the word gignomai which means to engender, to become.

Gender is an assignation by language. Even tables and windows have genders in some languages.

Which is why the latest spokesperson was a girl who stopped going to school and scorned people, begging them to do something for the last 7 years?

Although it seems the latest part of the omnicause is more serious now, gotta go help the Hamas terrorists.

Yeah, me thinks the public isn't on your side on this one too much or you folks wouldn't still be fear mongering about this year after year after year...

As I've always said, people who can only see black and white won't ever believe there are colours and shades of grey.
Like some of our wives; either the furnace or the air conditioner are OFF or on 100%. That adjustment knob is invisible to them.

It's as if he said while you chewed an ExLax that there's no need to shit your pants right now, it meant ExLax "doesn't work" and you won't shit them an hour later.

It’s curious how often oil-producing countries provoke Trump’s ire - Canada, Venezuela and now Nigeria.

It’s curious how often you come up with silly things like this to try to imply something nefarious about Trump.

I mean seriously, how many countries are oil exporting countries and then, out of those, where do these 3 rank, and out of all of them how many have “Trump’s Ire”

And what about the damage we in the West have done to global climate that is showing up already in warmer countries and small island nations? The countries that have done most of that damage, that have emitted the most carbon dioxide, are not the ones already suffering the most from it.
