You enjoy and are versed in politics and the schtick that goes with it (fair assumption?). Most people don't....and that's fact. If 'no one' listened to what he said it wouldn't have been a small media shit storm because of the comments. Most people don't spin things and read between lines, they hear what he said and take that at face value because he's the president (insert joke). You spin that because you like his schtick.
