So you agree with me on this one.

That's not actually what you said so no. What you said was that carney never claimed that our relationship with the united states was over

And you are 100% wrong. Carney did say that.

But I love that you say something wrong, I correct you and say something right, and then you try and pretend that that's what you said a whole along :P :P  :P

It's just that your bloated ego had to rephrase it so you can do a Charlie Sheen. " Look at me! I'm winning!" Well at least you found the sense to agree with me.

No, what you said was wrong. And if there's an ego problem here it's yours.

Carney said that the relationship we have with the united states is over. You claimed he didn't but he did. Nobody here has suggested that that means that we would never speak with the united states again. But it does mean that he said the relationship was over and he did.

Now he's trying to suggest that the relationship isn't over and it's just fine and we're all excited about continuing with the relationship that's always been there and we will make America great again

I honestly don't understand how someone can manage to delete themselves to be the kind of mindless minion that you are

For both the Canadian public and the Canadian media - instead of tone-policing Poilievre, *THIS* is what you should be paying attention to.

Five bills. One hundred days. Canada's federal government is building surveillance infrastructure that would require every Canadian to prove their identity to access ordinary websites, allow secret government orders to build interception tools, and hand sweeping power over our digital lives to a single Cabinet-appointed body.

The Id10t King just admired China's surveillance state and control over its' people.  Carney is implementing it.

In a midnight move, the Liberal gov't cut off debate on Bill C-22, which will grant police new powers & ramp up state surveillance infrastructure, threatening privacy & cybersecurity across Canada.

No debate, no amendments, no expert witnesses called, no voter input.  The most controversial surveillance bill ever - rammed through parliament.

Read the statement from 21 experts & orgs denouncing the move.

I mean what did you expect? People that grossly distort the law to obtain total power are obviously going to distort the law to make use of that power

The liberals are authoritarian dictators. They're not interested in any debate or challenge to their rule

All the opposition parties voted against this bill.  May is not the only parliamentarian sounding alarms about this bill and the way this government is operating..

The hilarious thing is it was always the people on the left who insisted that the housing crisis was the fault of the Developers and that landlords are evil. I guess they forgot that Carney's companies have been major leaders in renovictions as well.

And it's not just the liberal supporters, the NDP and their supporters all back these guys. You know, to keep the evil conservatives out because they would have been nice to their corporate friends 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

It means nothing. The liberals are not interested in the democratic process. May was the first one to let the budget pass based on "deciding" to believe liberal lies when she knew better and she has no credibility.  She supported the liberals for the last 11 years and it's far too late now for her to put down her donut and speak up.

This is the government that the left elected. Too late to complain about it now

Isn't it a bit of a given that law enforcement attracts people who are more conservative than progressive? So why would the police go along with such an awful left wing surveillance state?

This the left in action, seriously? How does that explain Greens and NDP voting against this?

The Overton window is clearly broken.

No. Actually there's very little evidence for that in canada. Law enforcement tends to attract people who are a little authoritarian but that goes left or right. Many police are on the left.

Police orgs as a whole can tend to support the status quo which some would perceive as being a right wing attitude (tho that's not accurate) but not always by far. For example they've been ok with gun laws, they've been fine with the additional search laws being passed right now, etc and those are all very left of center ideologies.

That's not what the internet says. Our cops are as conservative and right wing as most police in other Western democracies and for the same reasons.

It should be easy for you to prove otherwise by finding police associations and unions speaking out against Bill C-22 or having more power.

Let us know how that works out.
