The Carney Press & Photo Op campaign

Since being elected, Carney has attempted to fool Canadians into thinking he’s hard at work making deals around the world, holding summits with like minded world leaders.  But much of this is all for show, with minimal substance.  Take for instance the recent joint statement between Canada and Germany on critical minerals.

it’s all non-binding without any actual commitment.  More symbolism over substance.

Of course it's non-binding. 

It's just Carney saying "We have gooder frends than the US and we r gonna share our goodest rezources wif them", just like he did when he signed the "Canada-Europe Defence Partnership" or whatever it's called.

The US is on a mission right now to shore up their rare-earth mineral supplies right now, and if Carney tried to make a deal that put Germany's interests ahead of America's on this issue then he'd be heading to the Oval Office tomorrow to sit with his nose in the corner again.

That said, if little is moving there's little to damage.

And when we're talking about critical minerals the only reason China has cornered the market is they don't give a crap about the environmental damage extracting rare minerals from ore causes.

PP Tweeted that these agreements aren't binding. Kinda of like all those fake trade deals Trump signed with the EU, UK, Japan, South Korea etc?

None of them are binding and The Orange Dictator with Heart Condition can change the terms on a whim.

Name a trade deal Trump signed that's binding, in any way shape or form.

Since being gifted a seat back, everything I've seen coming from PP is unpleasant and unproductive. I'm very happy I parked my vote with the Liberals this time.
