Of course! I was reading a column just this morning by Conrad Black. The key to these talks is to 'not antagonize Russia to the point of it becoming a client state of China'. And that what is needed 'is a non-aggression agreement between Nato and Russia, with a general guarantee of Ukraine's revised borders'. What we don't want or don't need is forcing the Russians into a Russian-Chinese alliance against the West. I doubt that Russia would feel too comfortable with such an alliance either. Trying to cool down  hostilities between Russia and the  West is not traitorous but good statesmanship.

Biden didn't hold a sham peace summit like Trump did, because Putin was not ready to make any concessions and STILL IS NOT. Trump just wants a Nobel prize and doesn't give a crap about Ukraine suffering for him to get one.

Just listen to Rudio taking Putin's side on Sunday morning talk shows trying to claim that arming Ukraine to beat Russia is neither possible nor advantageous. 🤮

I saw him, that's not what he said. He said that escalating the war and the sanctions would not deter Russia. There was some talk of sanctioning those that work with Russia, in an attempt to further isolate Russia.

I honestly believe that it would be better to bring Russia into NATO. That is ironic, given NATO's charter. But, if they feel comfortable that they won't be attacked and if they have real consequences if they try to attack others, that could (emphasis on could) make them more western friendly.

I get that they've been bad actors. Maybe there is some penalty or probationary phase that could come along with that. The reality is, we can't change the regime without dire consequences. So, we either get everyone on the same page, even if that means giving up a little sometime or we stay in a perpetual state of war and thousands of people die every year. 

Should we just keep up the killing? Is that what you want?

Nope Biden's admin demanded the troops pull out for a photo op and speech to be given right after that. The deaths were a result of careless and reckless decisions by a politically motivated admin rather than reaching their military objectives. Her grief was properly directed. Joe Biden was responsible for those troops and he allowed his admin to make grave errors that got 13 service members killed.

Well bravo! That is quite a bargain for $10B. But at what cost though in terms of lives lost, overall destruction, loss of food production, energy shortages, the hundreds of billions spent on munitions?  I'm sure we could add to that list.  And as I've already tried to explain it's a little more than defeating the Russians in Ukraine. It's what the world looks like afterwards.
