Many Red states are now putting restrictions on what you can buy on food stamps and the lazy people are crashing out over it (mostly the fat asses with 5 kids with 5 different baby daddies)

Funny thing is you can can buy all the components of "snacks" on food stamps, you just need to do a little work to make those items into snacks.

@Fluffypants you forgot to post ANY EVIDENCE for your lame CLIAMS.

At least, if true, this policy makes sense from a health perspective, but YOUR insinuation that people on welfare are just "lazy" is IGNORANT and unsubstantiated.

It's about time.  Every state should implement that policy.

When did you get YOUR PhD in sociology? Until you do, you need to quote experts or you're just wasting your time posting BS.

It’s actually a known effect of welfare. The economic dependency creates a disincentive for work. Amongst other problems that arises

It's common sense.  Just like alcohol and lottery tickets are banned, junk food is being added to the list.  Your party abandoned common sense long ago.

No need for any education whatsoever when the goal is to impose your will on others.
And support a leader who serves guests Whoppers, Diet Coke and KFC.

Derailing another thread?

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Here you go, poor people are poor no matter how much handout you throw at them. Which you could argue is not a product of material scarcity but rather something else, at least in the U.S.

I'm not saying starving children in Africa wouldn't benefit from say food welfare but for a developed country we do not have those type of poverty level that affect food insecurity. Unless you're Canada.

Do you support the ban on alcohol and lottery tickets that all states have in place?  If you really cared about people you’d support them eating better quality food.  But there’s an easy way to avoid these new rules.  Get a job and pay for your own food.

As I said, I support people eating better quality food, but the thing YOU DON'T KNOW is that it's difficult for SOME, esp those who can't afford a car.

Have you ever heard of a food desert, where it's much easier to buy crap processed food like chips and soda than fresh vegetables?

I visited Kathmandu a few years ago, and there were food deserts everywhere that I traveled in that city.

It's like that in inner city slums HERE.

We don't have inner city slums. That's racist.

Your graph doesn't prove your claim. Constant per person welfare will always rise with the population while the poverty rate stays nearly constant.

My claim is that if you are poor there is a reason you are poor. It's not from a material scarcity that money could alleviate. Meaning money is not the right tool to fix poverty.

It is the right tool for survival until poverty is FIXED. Duh

Look, you can't tell me our society is in survival mode when we're arguing over whether or not you derail a thread...

There is NO ARGUMENT there. It is just a childish tantrum thrown by a guy who was called out for his dishonest deflection.

The people who are in survival mode are generally incapable of such nuance like you.

It’s no secret, I too am a proponent of weaponized autism.
