Clearly not all the time. If you were, they would be flocking there. Why are you not bringing this family into your home?

They do come here. This guy just made the mistake of going to the US. We might if he asked. We might if your government asked. Have they?

The death of Alexei Navalny

Quote

There is no doubt that the Kremlin is responsible for the death of Alexei Navalny. He died a slow death, beginning with his poisoning with the deadly nerve agent Novichok by the Russian Federal Security Service in 2020. He only survived then because he was able to receive treatment at Berlin’s Charité hospital. Since his return from Germany early in 2021, he was arrested, jailed in increasingly harsh conditions, and more recently transferred to a remote, brutal prison colony above the Arctic Circle, where he was regularly placed in solitary confinement for long periods against Russia’s own laws. Navalny’s health was increasingly frail and his requests for proper medical treatment were repeatedly denied. He was able to communicate with the outside world through his lawyers and remained defiant until the end. Russia has lost its most courageous opposition figure.

Some question why Navalny returned to Russia from Germany in 2021, when he knew he would be arrested. He believed that it was his mission to continue fighting the corrupt, repressive Russian system under President Vladimir Putin, and he acknowledged in a video posted before his arrest that he might not survive prison.

Navalny is best known for his anti-corruption activism and the riveting YouTube videos he produced exposing corrupt officials. The most famous was released in January 2021, featuring “Putin’s Palace,” a $1.35 billion estate on the Black Sea with an underground hockey rink, a private casino, and an amphitheater. It garnered 122 million views. Navalny began focusing on corruption early in his business career when he became an activist shareholder and harangued corporate officials at shareholder meetings about the sources and disposition of their earnings. His Anti-Corruption Foundation, although banned in Russia, continues to operate in exile.

Navalny created a successful political organization with branches all over Russia. He advocated “smart voting”—those who oppose Putin should vote for candidates who might be able to defeat the United Russia candidate, be they communists or from the far-right Liberal Democratic Party. His death amid increasingly repressive moves from the Kremlin means that there is no opposition leader left in Russia.

Putin is running for re-election in mid-March and the Kremlin has eliminated any opposition figures from the ballot, the most prominent of whom is Boris Nadezhdin, who opposes the war with Ukraine and garnered more than the requisite 100,000 signatures to be on the ballot. The Kremlin will ensure that there are no protests following Navalny’s death and has already denied that it had anything to do with his demise. Putin’s goal is to eliminate all opposition to his rule. It is likely that repression will increase after his re-election. We are now entering an era that resembles the Stalin years more than anything that followed that dictator’s death.

Your cite ONLY says it was NOT LIKELY on DIRECT ORDERS from Putin.

IGNORING the FACT that there are MANY WAYS to order it INDIRECTLY.

But that was enough to FOOL YOU. LMAO

I think that US Intel was goaded into excusing Putin on orders from Trump as part of his Ukraine peace gambit.

Canada has open borders and allows in as many Russians as want to come there? No you do not.

Canada is talking to the United States and opened its borders for people being deported like this? No, you do not.

I was replying to another Canadian but why is it that your default is to blame us for things that have nothing to do with us instead of taking responsibility for your own actions? All  you can do is deflect. This has nothing to do with open borders and you know it.

If we were doing the same thing to someone I wouldn’t be trying to blame you for it.

This has everything to do with you. Everything.

These poor Russians just need refuge from the evil Putin who is going to kill them and you won't let them in your country.

Canada will allow any and all, no matter how many, Russians to come there if they feel their lives are in danger?

No.

YOU are helping these Russians, letting them stay in your home?

No.

So apparently you don't care about them either.

You never can take responsibility for for your own actions, your go to is to deflect everything on to someone else. It's all you ever do. He chose the US and obviously it was a bad choice . Nothing to do with us.

This is not my own actions.

YOU are the one demanding that these people must be taken in, so why are YOU not doing so?

I am just fine with our immigration policy and laws actually being enforced because it is absurd on its face to sit here saying that somehow we have to take in as many Russians as want to come here... on top of the rest of the worlds population.

Stop making stuff up, it's all you ever do when you can't justify your own actions. I'm not demanding you do anything. If you are just fine with your policy you should be able to defend it without trying to deflect it onto someone else.

I did not make up anything. You are the one on here arguing America should just take all these people in, not me.

You need illegal aliens in your home 24/7. I hope that is what you are doing.

You do what you do, not what you say. THAT is the problem.

Per capita, Canada accepted twice as many refugee claims as the US last year.

Nice dodge. The point of the question was to why you are here, not to be obtuse and describe the obvious as to what you did.

The United States has at least 30 million illegal aliens. That means roughly 4 million illegal aliens need to be in your homes. Can you leftoids manage that?

This is about a refugee, not illegal aliens. He entered the country legally and passed initial screening.

Deporting him is up to you but if you support seizing someones child and threatening their parents as a policy, stop being a hypocrite and just own it.

Yeah... why? What was the point you were trying to make?

No, it isn't. He had no special status or protection; he had a deportation order. The moment he chose to resist and not go... he was here illegally and detained.

Wrong.

It's about a selfish illegal alien who has put his kids in danger. None of this shit would've happened if he had been a responsible father and stayed in his own country.

So... when someone is breaking the law, you want to put the kid in jail with them?
