Now what I find interesting is that after recently pledging not start recess the House early, Johnson will now recess the house early after Epstein-obsessed MAGAs in the House indicated they would join the Dems and move to have more Epstein files released

If there was something in there that could incriminate Trump it would have been released to stop him from running for election.  Trump might be protecting someone else or multiple people. Or he just doesn’t want the embarrassment of the public seeing his name being all over the files because he was one of Epstein’s closest party buddies for years.  He probably had a good idea of what Epstein was up to the whole time and at the very least turned a blind eye.

I find it absolutely delicious that after years of stoking conspiracy theories amongst his base, including and especially about Epstein, a faction of that base has now turned their eye on Trump. Live by the sword die by the sword.

Trump and Epstein were good pals and party buddies for almost 2 decades, spending significant amounts of time together on epstein’s island, on Epstein’s plane, and at both of their homes in NYC and Florida. Epstein used prominent Republican lawyers including Ken Starr (of Monica Lewinsky fame) to get a sweetheart criminal deal from a Republican attorney general. Starr would later go on to cover up sex crimes at a university where he was chancellor and after all that Trump would go on to use Starr at his impeachment trial. Epstein was conveniently arrested and died under suspicious conditions while in Trump 1.0 custody.  Meanwhile Trump continued to gush about what a great person Ghislane Maxwell is even after her conviction for sex trafficking minors. Then Trump 2.0 was elected and Virginia Giuffre an outspoken survivor of trafficking by Epstein conveniently commits suicide. Trump’s commerce secretary Howard Lutnick was Epstein’s neighbour in NYC and still owns the house he bought from Epstein.

But Hilary did it.

Epstein made his business by getting close to everyone and anyone who was successful or wealthy or had power. Virtually anybody who was anybody during that time. Probably has at least one or two pictures with Epstein and most have quite a few.

That does not mean that all of those people were pedophiles. In fact it's severely unlikely that even half of them were.

I have no doubt that trump likes younger women, I'm sure that if he had his way he would be surrounded by 20 to 25 year old woman willing to do his bidding. And while many people will find that distasteful and possibly disgusting it is not the same as him being interested in an underage sex slave

What’s amusing is that for years the Republicans tried to push a Clinton-Epstein conspiracy theory on the basis that Epstein was a major donor to the Clinton Foundation and the two had lots of public appearances together. Even though there was never any record of them socializing in private even a public appearance according to Republicans was enough to cast suspicion.
 

Meanwhile Trump was not just another person who met Epstein. In fact nobody was closer to Epstein than Trump.  In 2002 he told New York Magazine:

 “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy.  He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

Sure sounds like he knew something.
