"Utah‘s ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth was meant to be a moratorium, giving lawmakers the chance to reevaluate the policy once experts reviewed research on the impacts of treatment.

This week, nearly 2½ years after the law took effect, lawmakers received the findings of that study.

Utah health care experts concluded, in a more than 1,000-page report, “Overall, there were positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes” as a result of gender-affirming care. But some Republican legislators are already dismissing those findings."

Why call for a study if you are going to dismiss the findings?

It seems to be because a lot of people don't want to listen and don't want to care.

Disagreement is not dismissal. Also, you conflate policy with a study. The study showed positive and negative outcomes, but loosely concluded overall positive impacts to mental health but more deaths from suicide and HIV/AIDS. It is up to the politicians we elect to determine what is the best policy.

This study was very limited in the scope of what it was being asked to look at as well. There are more considerations around what overall policy should be.

But hey... you keep pushing the trans madness.

If you want to lower depression and suicide in youth, teach them that their bodies are healthy and beautiful and perfect just the way nature made them.  Telling someone that they were "born in the wrong body" is absolutely disgusting and psychologically abusive.  As is enabling delusions using powerful medications and cosmetic surgeries.

If a guy wants to wear lipstick and a dress then wear lipstick and a dress.

"Father, I'm very depressed.  Can I pump myself full of hormones until I grow boobs and then cut my d*ck off?  It'll make me feel better".

"Yes, son.  Head to the car while I grab the keys and tell mom we'll be late for dinner".

Supporting anything that f*cks over other people is a GOP virtue now. Feeling good because someone else lost something is righteousness. A$$holiness is the path to Godliness.

No. You are the ones who are f*ucking over women and girls when you support the trans madness, stealing from them their places on the podium.

And as this study points towards... encouraging more kids to do this increases deaths.
