What do you think an AI program would think if it gained self awareness?

AI is a reflection of the programmer. What if someone like @robosmith gets imprinted on it?

What if you understood what you're talking about? Your self-awareness would be a first.

IF you know anything about it, tell us how individuals can be "imprinted" on an AI bot.

I won't hold my breath.

Maybe the best case scenario... it would render it totally predictable, mildly amusing and limit its vocabulary to duh and LMAO.

I can also type YOU ARE A LIAR. Only the truth.

You STILL haven't responded to your FALSE claims about biological sources of CO2 being relevant to climate change.

Have you figured that out yet? LMAO

You are the last person in the world to badger anyone about responding on this forum when you hide from how many posters on here and have run away from more threads than I can count now.

I thought it might be obvious.

There's more to it than simple biological process. The bigger issue is that of individual consumption and its collective effects measured in terms of "excess consumption". World wide, it exceeds Canada's total global GHG footprint.

I'm not a "save the planet crusader" but my diet is mostly (almost exclusively) plant based. I have relatives (some pushing twice my body weight) that consume more meat in a week than I do in a year, and like you, they're loud mouthed climate change crusaders that arrogantly end sentences with duh and LMAO.

Apparently my 3/4 ton truck (the one that plows the road for them free of charge) is a measure of my absolute ignorance, culpability in global warming, and consummate climate stupidity.

Based on your (and their) arrogant BS, maybe I'll just withdraw my pro bono services next winter and let them pay the going price... the closest contractor charges $200.00 an hour for what I do for free duh.

Actually, now that I think about it, you convinced me.... I'll save some money and laugh my own ass off for a change. I'll tell them not to bother calling me when their driveway's impassable, their battery is dead and the ponderous ass they just laughed off (at me) is late for work.

I'm starting to appreciate your contributions here, keep up the good work.

No but you support a US administration who wants to make America the leader in AI.

His buddy Lutnic wants to see American robots working in American factories.

I'd be more worried about an AI imprinted with the ethos and social views of a Koch brother, Trump or Lutnic.

I support cleaning up the mess you Libbies made. But making a sentient computer is a bad idea.

What do I think if zombies attacked? If Aliens invaded? If a meteor was crashing down to Earth and we were all going to die?!

Sigh... I asked you why you thought AI was dangerous, not what doomsday what-if scenario you thought was dangerous.

But it is a what-If scenario. Completely.

Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

Since you've not figured it out, I'll explain it to you. The CO2 that animals emit, comes FROM the atmosphere, whether it is plant or animal based food. AKA we are all just recycling CO2 that already freely exists and that has NO EFFECT on the climate.

Fossil fuel CO2 that comes from your truck, was last in the atmosphere MILLIONS of years ago. AKA, releasing it INCREASES atmospheric concentrations and that GHG makes the planet warmer.

Do you understand now?

But AI and automation will clean up one of the biggest messes, unions and especially the public sectors.

You're saying the prospect of 10's of millions of left wing peons being laid off and left entirely to their own devices doesn't cheer you up?

It'll mean billions less for labour billions in profits to Big Business and billions less taxes for lazy public sector/deep state workers.

Where's the downside?

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

I am excited for suppressors being removed from the NFA registry and the tax stamp! Hopefully that survives.

that whole thing is stupid

That was just another example of "the shoulder thing that goes up" style american gun control where the dems ban what the saw in a movie once that scared them.

There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
