Boges Posted Monday at 01:53 PM Report Posted Monday at 01:53 PM What evidence is there that Autism is linked to environmental factors? The MMR vaccine is so common that a correlation link can be made to any childhood issues. Quote

Are you opposed to trying to find out what if anything is causing autism? 1 Quote

Hodad Posted Monday at 09:07 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:07 PM Kennedy is a certified kook. That's been known for a long time. I'm just now finding out that he's also an a-hole. His characterization of people on the spectrum is unbelievably tone deaf. And frankly, mean spirited. But back to the kookery... The guy who is overflowing with science misinformation thinks that after decades of autism research, he's going to crack the code by September? That's just nonsense. What's actually happening is that he's given himself to September to pretend like they've figured it out and craft an outcome that suits his preconceptions. That is the only point of such a timeline. If he really just wanted to prioritize autism research he would fund it and let science take its course. 3 Quote

This is the problem with you leftists. Everything is so touchy feely and you care more about being ignorantly politically correct than you do the truth. The reality is that the vast majority of folks with Autism will not hold a job. It doesn't mean there are not some very gifted people doing gifted things, but this is a difficult issue for folks and no reason to sugar coat it. And I refuse to be lectured by the folks who would just as soon champion aborting kids with autism if you had a way to test for it, just like you do with down syndrome. Quote
impartialobserver Posted Monday at 09:50 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:50 PM the study that once tried to hypothesize a causal relationship between standard vaccines and autism has been debunked. This idea that there is an easily found environmental cause is unrealistic. 1 Quote

gatomontes99 Posted Tuesday at 01:39 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 01:39 AM Yeah. The world has been studying the problem that has really exploded in the last few years. Makes total sense. I'm all for expanding the research into why autism and down syndrome are accelerating. That's a good thing to do. I personally think that IUI and IVF are going to have a big role. Those procedures are letting older and older women get pregnant. We know age of the mother is a huge factor in autism. But who knows, maybe microplastics are a factor. Maybe it's obesity. It could be just about anything really. Let's drop expectations and assumptions and just get an answer. Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source.
