No one ever dies in the waiting room of a US hospital and and only they don't have communist medicine. The whole rest of the world is wrong, as usual. Herbie, you're a known fabricator and weasel here. Your story about "I bought a house, renovated with money on my CC, and sold it for triple" was such utter BS that no one can ever take you seriously again. Not only are you a liar, you're almost ret4rded. Ergo, your attempted assault on other people's character doesn't make a dent. 1 Quote If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. A CT scan that night showed something in her brain. She was kept overnight and the next morning transported to a neurological unit in another hospital where an MRI confirmed a tumour. She was operated on the next week to remove the tumour. Unfortunately they couldn't remove it all because of the location and it turned out to be glioblastoma which is terminal. This was in the middle of COVID when hospitals were already maxed out. But hey, you saw it on X so it must be true. I can't even tell you how outside the realm of possibility that is here in BC. You can't just waltz into an ER here and get to see a Dr within 5 hrs unless there's something sticking out. CdnFox Posted March 24, 2025 Report Posted March 24, 2025 I mean I don't know what she's complaining about, it's bound to still be there in 3 years Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
WestCanMan Posted March 24, 2025 Report Posted March 24, 2025 Maybe the biggest threat from UHC just comes from the ultra-compliance factor of it. In Canada, when the gov't says "You need to be pseudovaxed in order to qualify for _______", you have no recourse, because they control everything. Every doctor in the province has to comply with the Fuhrer's orders or they will be out of work, and it's not a bluff: our doctors and other frontline medical personnel in BC all lost their jobs for years for not vaxing, and they only got re-hired right before the 2024 election to prevent the conservatives from doing it after they got elected. It's kinda like what Carney is doing with the carbon tax and GST on homes under $1M... At least in the US it's not illegal for hospitals to give differing opinions. Barquentine Posted March 24, 2025 Report Posted March 24, 2025 We can all come up with anecdotes to prove either viewpoint. I've personally had both extremes happen to me. When I went to emerg. gushing blood from a serious accident they were all over me like ants on corn syrup. On the other hand I've been waiting 8 months now, with no word, to see a cardiologist for a non- urgent problem, while my colleague who had a heart attack saw one within 16 hrs. It may get a little better or worse at times, but it will always be thus. A note on cost. My niece needed a heart transplant when she was 18. She got it. that's a million dollar procedure. You want to have some damn good private insurance if that happens in the states. Quote

Aristides Posted March 24, 2025 Report Posted March 24, 2025 I don't think many Canadians would dispute that our system has come under stress lately but you will look hard to find any that would want to get rid of it. They want it fixed, not abolished. Yes BC has been sending some people to the US for cancer treatments but the important thing is the government is picking up the bill, not the patient. Quote

Without a bone sticking out, this is what you're looking at in Abbotsford: https://waitupdates.ca/abbotsford-regional-hospital-wait-times/ ABBOTSFORD REGIONAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY WAIT TIMES (HOURLY) Wait times for the First Assessment with a doctor in an Emergency is 2-4 Hours The Average Wait Time at Abbotsford Regional, from the ER Department to Hospital Admission after assessment is 6-8 Hours Low-urgency patients without admission may have to wait more 2-4 hrs for an initial assessment plus another 6-8... Did her tumour symptoms suddenly just appear, while being serious enough to be considered urgent? She really just went from 0 symptoms to "assessed as being in need of urgent care" without ever seeing a GP?
