Not really. My take on this is that we should simply bus everyone on unemployment or other government assistance out to work the fields until they find a better job. We can also offer work permits for folks who want to be here to work. Most of those here illegally keep their families back in the country of origin and send money back to them they are making here. We don't have to make them all citizens. 1 1 Quote

Wow. A lot of thought sure went into that... 🤣 FYI people were doing all of those jobs 15M illegals ago, when Biden took over. Do you have any idea how long it would take to decrease the number of illegals by 15M? The avg number of illegals under Biden was at 3 or 4 million per year. Not only does Trump have to get that down, he has to deport more than the number that are coming in, in order to decrease the number of illegals. It will be a monumental success for Trump to get the net illegal migration number from plus 3M/year to -200,000/yr. A huge success would be if the net number of illegal immigrants is down to +9M for the period covering Jan 2021-Jan 2029... 8 yrs total, 4 years of each president. It's been well known for ages, that the majority of people on social assistance have either physical or mental impairments, that prevent them from finding meaningful employment. How about deportations of all those not gainfully employed out in the fields or in manual labor jobs in the supply chain? Quote

impartialobserver Posted December 17, 2024 Report Posted December 17, 2024 real life is such a bit__. In a fantasy, you could easily find and deport 10 million. They are not as easy to pinpoint as the delusional types on here would pretend it to be. There are legal considerations and above all.. there has been a shortage of applicants for the Border Patrol and other law enforcement. That is not going to change overnight. Quote

In real life, if you actually enforce the laws, it deters the crime. Under this administration's open borders policies, millions have entered illegally, and millions more under the ruse of claiming asylum. That will dramatically reduce. Actually allowing the Border Patrol and ICE to do their jobs will build morale. Recruitment and retention are down because Biden turned the BP into little more than a taxi service to let everyone in while the rest of the border was wide open for the drug cartels and human traffickers. 1 Quote

He's not going to get it done in one day, but over 4 years why not. And frankly if they find him deport 8.5 million I think he would still call that a win. More importantly, people would be thinking twice if not three times about coming in the first place 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
