gonna be a mess when they go no one to work the farm fields or hotel jobs or construction that normal us citizens don't wanna do in southern states.

Not really.

My take on this is that we should simply bus everyone on unemployment or other government assistance out to work the fields until they find a better job.

We can also offer work permits for folks who want to be here to work. Most of those here illegally keep their families back in the country of origin and send money back to them they are making here. We don't have to make them all citizens.

It's going to tank their economy. Even when it happens, these MAGA loons will somehow find a way to blame Biden and Harris, and gaslight the American public.

The economy was just fine 4 years ago (minus COVID) before Biden let in millions more without a care in the world.

We will be just fine after deporting them.

Wow. A lot of thought sure went into that... 🤣

FYI people were doing all of those jobs 15M illegals ago, when Biden took over.

Do you have any idea how long it would take to decrease the number of illegals by 15M?

The avg number of illegals under Biden was at 3 or 4 million per year. Not only does Trump have to get that down, he has to deport more than the number that are coming in, in order to decrease the number of illegals.

It will be a monumental success for Trump to get the net illegal migration number from plus 3M/year to -200,000/yr.

A huge success would be if the net number of illegal immigrants is down to +9M for the period covering Jan 2021-Jan 2029... 8 yrs total, 4 years of each president.

If Trump follows through with his plans to deport 11 million people, perhaps we can bookmark this thread, so in 24 months from now, so we can see the outcome.

Good luck with that. It's been well known for ages, that the majority of people on social assistance have either physical or mental impairments, that prevent them from finding meaningful employment.

Just curious... what number of deportations is acceptable to you?

I always love the twin liberal defense of "We need to have compassion for these people" Followed by " Our economy can't survive without their slave labor"  :)

So, you support deportations, as long as we have a proper plan?

How about deportations of all those not gainfully employed out in the fields or in manual labor jobs in the supply chain?

Wherever you pulled that nonsense from doesn't even exist in a Disney movie.

I was raised in farm country and I know that hired hands are plentiful. What @User said is absolutely true.

real life is such a bit__. In a fantasy, you could easily find and deport 10 million. They are not as easy to pinpoint as the delusional types on here would pretend it to be. There are legal considerations and above all.. there has been a shortage of applicants for the Border Patrol and other law enforcement. That is not going to change overnight.

In real life, if you actually enforce the laws, it deters the crime. Under this administration's open borders policies, millions have entered illegally, and millions more under the ruse of claiming asylum.

That will dramatically reduce.

Actually allowing the Border Patrol and ICE to do their jobs will build morale. Recruitment and retention are down because Biden turned the BP into little more than a taxi service to let everyone in while the rest of the border was wide open for the drug cartels and human traffickers.

Not really. This is easy to deal with. I know that it probably upsets you and I'll probably get another little red down arrow because you're so buthurt over the idea of losing your slave labor force but honestly we just don't need them. There's ways to deal with it legitimately

He's not going to get it done in one day, but over 4 years why not. And frankly if they find him deport 8.5 million I think he would still call that a win.

More importantly, people would be thinking twice if not three times about coming in the first place
