He should have kept his comments more civil, like death to all Canadians and kill the Jews and things like that. Then it would have been fine.

I was briefly looking at my son's social studies [I just found out it was English] homework Thursday night, it was about the rez schools in Canada...

It's revisionist history laced with hate-mongering, presentism, lies, exaggerations, wilful ignorance, false narratives, etc. If it's false, and it can make you hate people, it's in there.

Basically write a story called "Our ancestors were the worst people to ever walk the face of the earth. Never before, or since, has any group of people ever mistreated another so horribly. Only white people could do this" and teach it to kids.

They don't give out text books with that stuff in it, they just lecture and the kids write their own notes, so I have nothing more than second-hand info to go on. 

I know what they told my kid, or at least what my kid theoretically "knows" about the subject based on what he was taught, but I can't prove what they said, what my son misinterpreted, what they may have told him which he forgot, etc.

But the overall impression that he relayed to me basically showed a complete misunderstanding of almost every aspect of that topic, on every level.
