Nancy Pelosi’s husband unloaded more than $500,000 worth of Visa stock — less than three months before the credit card giant was slapped with federal antitrust charges, public documents show.

Visa was hit with a lawsuit on Tuesday that alleged the company has illegally monopolized the debit card market — the culmination of a years-long review conducted by the Justice Department’s antitrust unit.

The Pelosis' record of investing with Visa has been impeccable. It's almost like she has a crystal ball inside 'er trading app on her phone.

Was the year's long DoJ investigation SECRET? IF it wasn't, the trading wasn't non-public info. Duh

Trump paid hookers to pee on a bed, was a spy for Russia and beholden to China you believe. But, Pelosi, who has acces to federal investigations, just happens to make a perfectly timed trade just before it was made public that there was an investigation and that is incrediulous?

What's going on inside of robo's head has nothing to do with reality. He seems to profit while others are experiencing loss. He must be an undertaker or something. Business "booms" when there are wars, economic hardship, drug addiction and homelessness. That's why he likes the Dems.

It was a "years long review" and three months before charges were filed.

Any number of sources may have leaked a DoJ investigation.

Public KNOWLEDGE July 26, 2023 Duh:

Jul 26, 2023  Visa is reportedly under continued scrutiny by the US Department of Justice. A new civil investigative demand, similar to a subpoena, was filed May 2.

Anyone could have guessed that charges were imminent during "a years-long review" . Duh

I'm not telling you what you believe. You told me. And you didn't deny it.

She didn't need anyone to leak it. She just waited for the call. She knew. She didn't guess. She didn't get lucky. She told her husband what she knew and he made the trade.

I posted PROOF that the investigation was public knowledge long before Pelosi sold the stock. DUH

Really? Then why did you post these things?

  Clear findings of collusion:

Senate panel finds Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election

But gatomontes99 pretends that one paragraph authored by 5 RepubliCON Senators which was NOT agreed to by other committee members like the above conclusions, takes precedence and in desperation calls posters who point that out "batshit crazy."

Which means they sold in August when it was at its yearly low of $253.  Yesterday it closed a $289, up $33 since they sold. It took a $3  hit when the suit was announced and has since gone up $8. Looks like they panicked because of the sinking price at the time, not some inside info.

I have VISA in my US portfolio. I don't remember when we bought it but it's up 450% since then. Perhaps another reason to sell.

Much easier to jump on some kind of conspiracy theory than actually do some research.

Visa pays a crap dividend, less than 1% so capital gain is the only reason to buy it. If they bought around 10 years ago like I did, they had already made a bundle. Maybe they wanted the cash to invest in something else, maybe Mama wants a new Ferrari. They aren't getting any younger and you can't take it with you. Who knows why people sell.
