So at the press conference today he repeated blatant, disproven many times over to the power of laughed out of all courts claims of a "rigged" election. The conclusion cannot be avoided:

1. Rebranding to "a normal candidate" and just another election" did not work and is a lie.

2. The individual in question is a pathological recidivist liar and he won't stop lying no matter what.

3. For this reason, he is obviously unfit for any position of trust, responsibility and power.

In the future, candidates should formally execute their commitment to free democratic elections and the pledge to respect their outcome, or face ejection from the polls. It is sheer absurdity to play elections with people who blatantly undermine them. Democracy is not a mob rule. The alternative is known very well: Venezuela, Cuba and Russia.

A pathological, recidivist liar cannot be the leader of a world-leading democracy. This is a fact, and it cannot be changed: it does not happen and won't happen. Rebrandings and confusion, bold lies will do nothing to change the reality.

What can be done, is taking the democracy itself several levels down: to where the distance between truth, the reality and imaginary agendas does not exist; where there's no integrity, no principles and no honor. That can be done always, but it's not the same thing. And it's a choice in the full knowledge of the consequences. Want to play with candidates of the kind of tomorrow's Maduros? Find them cute, fuzzy and funny? Tough father syndrome, will take care of you and your problems? Just don't care and don't want to think and take responsibility? Sure can have your way, but know that nobody can and would cancel the consequences. They will catch up as surely as they always do.

No one could pretend, for any reason and with any excuses that they didn't know or couldn't understand that.

This is the the main point about this election: it's a junction, crossroads. A pathological, recidivist liar cannot be the president of America that was. It probably merits a topic of its own at some point, but for now this isn't an easy challenge but it needs to be addressed still by the sane America (that is, not just Democrats). Clearly not everyone will be thinking about high matters like law, democracy rule of the mob folks have to put food on the table, find jobs. But they still may think about it some time and for that, someone will need to keep this conversation going. See, it's not only about prices and jobs it's also about the democracy and its standard. This never happened before. It cannot be shrugged off and ignored because then it'll become the new normal. Lies, making up things and threats, "rigged elections", "just find me votes" all that would become normal and acceptable standard in the next age of politics. We now have no choice to ignore these questions. Can any mob boss from now on claim to run for U.S. president?

So far, he was only rewarded for all of that. He has been nominated, with all that record. Is it the new normal already? No, no way it can be shrugged off.
