Canadian Voter Opinion on Human Needs as Human Rights

The Revolution Party of Canada is conducting a research survey to better understand Candadian voter sentiment on the idea of human needs being guaranteed human rights.

One problem in making every human need a human right is the whole idea of human rights becomes meaningless.  The list of rights becomes very long and unattainable in a world of 8 billion people.  The U.N. has something called the SDG or Social Development Goals.  This is a list of goals they hope to achieve by 2030.  It is a pipe dream because of course the cost would be impossibly high.

The idea behind making every human need a human right is to then use the power of the state to extract the wealth from all those who have something to give to those who have not.  In other words a form of Communism.  It is unlikely to get anywhere because it goes against human nature.  Those who work and earn will say why should they support the rest of the world while the masses are unemployed or unwilling to work?

The material and social conditions for living in society vary, however, over time they should get easier. That's because of social and material progress makes it easier for us to understand each other, and easier for us to produce what we need. 

The idea that it's too expensive for society to provide for a good life is highly uninformed. 

But Revolution, why should I click on your link? Why don't you contribute to this forum that you've joined by engaging with us directly? 

I'm not interested in being survey fodder.

What do you mean by saying society provides?

I think it is better to say that society can provide the conditions for others to provide a good life for themselves.
