The result of the recent byelection in Toronto was like a shot across the bow of the Liberal party. If they can lose there, they're set to lose almost everywhere.

Right now only the most diehard Libs are still voting for that party, and they have literally zero chance of latching onto any independents much less poaching from traditional Conservative voters.

Their lone positive is the fact that the NDP seem to have damaged their brand so badly that they stand to gain some voters from that sad group. (I haven't heard this from any important source, but I know that if I was an NDP voter I'd expect them to do more than just roll over for the Libs, and their self-serving pension grab at Canada's expense was atrocious.)

1. So what happens to the NDP? Did they just shoot themselves in the foot, or do their voters really believe that Singh was able to 'skillfully wrangle some concessions from the needy liberals'? Like I said, I think they screwed themselves but time will tell.

2. Will disgruntled Libs and Dems go Green, and give that party upwards of 6 seats? 🤮

3. Will Quebecers embrace the Anglophone from Calgary with the Francophone name, or will that whole province go Bloc?

4. It seems likely that the Bloc will form the opposition again, no?

5. What will Poilievre manage to do with all the seats the PCs pick up? Can he keep Canadians happy enough to vote Conservative agin, or will the CBC manage to do enough damage to the brand over the next few years?

6. Will any information that was previously buried by Trudeau, to help him fight off his scandals, be allowed to come to light? (I doubt it.)

7. Will the Liberals end up with less seats than in 2011? (34 iirc)

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

By-elections are a protest vote.

1. It will survive. As usual.

3. I reckon Quebecers off the island are in a CAQ mood.

4. Possible.

7. If the federal Liberals do a Kim Campbell, yes. But the federal Liberals at worst do a Dion.

Time for the NDP to call it. Play their cards right they could be the opposition. And nothing can save Trudeau. And I doubt the country can wait another yr. Something is going to happen.

The PC's are not going to field any candidates in the coming election. I believe you confused the CPC (the party of Lincoln, Aberhart and Manning) with the Progressive Conservatives (the party of MacDonald.)

Any damage to the CPC brand will be the result of the actions of the CPC, not the CBC. Mr. Poilievre's attacks on the CBC, Global and CTV appear to be an attempt avoid accountability.

He claims the CBC not only supports the Liberals, but has the power to influence people's voting decisions. So how is it that the CPC is about to win a super majority.

Every government needs to be held accountable by a vigorous press. This is particularly vital in the absence of a sizable Parliamentary opposition. Global and CTV news divisions are in trouble, which makes the national broadcaster all the more important.

Did you miss all the Duffygate BS?

Did you fail to notice how quickly Trudeau gave the CBC $695M after that?

Did you fail to notice how quickly our MSM dropped coverage of Trudeau's scandals compared to how long the made Duffygate headline news?

Can you find CBC's coverage of Trudeau referring to the unjabbed as "very often racists and misogynists"?

Do you have pictures of the violent, disrespectful rioters in the Freedom convoy? Or the sea of swastikas and confederate flags?

PP was absolutely correct in his assessment of the CBC. You're a partisan child who will have nothing of substance in your reply.
