They will either get enough damning info on him, his son and his brother to blackmail him into quitting, get his family indicted or use a doctor to say he is to senile to continue. The problem they have with Newsom is that that would be perceived as a slight to Kamala. Either she would be relegated to a second term as the second to a white man or dumped all together. Either way, they already have a problem with black men flipping to Trump. Any slight to Kamala would exacerbate that problem. If Kamala runs, it will be an even bigger disaster.
