As the "tolerance level" for rudeness, I'd say it should be pretty high when it comes to regulation, law etc. Having hurt feelings, being offended etc demands far too much attention these days. More like rage, which is still an emotion but someone supposed to be respectable. Anything to do with Remembrance Day elicits offense... white poppies, opting out, wearing a Turban to a legion... but try to attribute it to cancel culture or being a snowflake and people get all confused... That is how the new generations express themselves, rage...not conversation ,but yelling and screaming... What is Remembrance day for...it happens one day a year,to honor all those that fought and died of our country...why would someone fell the need to highjack that one day for something else...don't wonder why they would disagree or get angry, it is a sign of disrespect.... make your own day up that fits your cause....Stop using one that remembers those that sacrificed everything...it is disrespectful.... Now that day might not mean anything to most Canadians but it means everything to me...Want to opt out then fine do that, it really not a day for them anyways... Most people do not like change, military or ex military have a deep ingrain sense of tradition, add both of them together and yes you will see some express it as rage...But like every tradition in Canada they are all starting to be chipped away...to accommodate diversity...only time will tell if it was all worth it..
