The economy is roaring. Immigration is a key reason

Notice that they always give Biden a softball question while he's eating ice cream?

That's because it lends the impression that he's just a sharp ol' guy who's out enjoying the simple life with the peons, and he's answering an off-the-cuff question, but that's all 100% scripted.

The question and answer were both rehearsed well in advance and there's probably not an actual civilian with 100 feet of that ice cream parlour. There are likely 2 dozen secret service agents within a 50-foot radius of him.

He actually lives a world away from you and me, and especially from the dirt-poor hood rats in DC. He's not out mingling and eating ice cream 🤣. That never happens.

And mostly, he can't answer actual questions. The Q & A sessions that Trump endured would kill him. He'd be a drooling wreck after 2 minutes.

They probably re-shoot those 1-question-long ice cream q & a sessions 3 times before he gets it kinda right.

We're watching a real-life episode of 4 Years At Bernie's.

Everything is wrong with what you just wrote there.

At the Dems' level it's unsustainable.

The reason wage growth happened/take-home pay increased under Trump is that illegal immigration was curbed.

Are the following statements true or false:

1.  Many Republican voters and donors to the Republican Party hire illegal workers.

2. The US agricultural sector is currently dependent on illegal workers.

Immigration reform has to be realistic and recognize the magnitude of the problem. If Republicans could get everything they wanted tomorrow on immigration there’s no way they would take it because sending everybody home would crash the economy. As far as I can see Republicans are happier complaining about the problem than trying to solve it. Like so many Americans they can’t do without illegals.

Everything? So you don’t believe in threatening the employers of illegal workers with jail time? Believe me, over time would have a definite effect on the flow of migrants into the country.

So you don't make any distinction between legal and illegal immigration?

When they cross the border and are detained by BP, they appear before judge who examines their asylum claims.

When the judge releases them pending their hearing, they are HERE LEGALLY.

Sorry to disappoint, but you don't get to call them illegal after the judge released them.

I mean, why do you Canadians even care about immigrants in the US?

Just because xyz group is entering the labor force does not mean that they are the reason for economic growth. Economies are complex.

When it is the major part of the the growth in the labor force, they are the major reason for the EXISTING economic growth.

We're reading ^a made up fantasy by WCM who has no idea what actually happened in that ice cream parlor. AKA just guessing.

The only thing we can be sure of is there are a large number of SS in vicinity and everyone else was thoroughly screened.

Got news for you, Joe Biden has been videoed mingling with normal citizens many times.

labor force and economic growth are not in the same...

Never said they are "the same." The economy has a difficult time sustaining (real) growth much higher than the population of labor. When economic growth is high, it will always drop (boom/bust) if not sustained by population growth.

I can only assume that it's true, that doesn't mean that they want the border wide open like it is now.

Partly true.

Right, and the Dems created a border crisis.

Republicans can't do without people who seem all too happy to complain about it.

Well then they're in good shape because according to polling a very large hunk (the majority) of Americans are complaining about it. It's a massive issue the democrats have failed miserably on and people are pissed.

They're in even better shape because they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Sure, that's exactly what I meant.

The majority won't notice a thing especially the massive cake crumbs.

Ahhh - the sun's gone down. No wonder your brain is getting squirrelly :)  You're back to making no sense.

So - what DID you mean by 'have their cake and eat it too?"  Do you remember? It was a whole hour ago?

Both parties have failed. As I pointed out, both Democrats and Republicans employ vast numbers of illegals. Ordinary Americans prefer not to think this matter through. While they may not want to compete with illegals in their own industry, they prefer not to consider their effect on the price of tomatoes or of all the guys who go to work at 4am to keep America clean, not to mention all those nannies and gardeners who come in handy. A radical solution to illegal immigration is very unlikely to happen.

So there is an acceptable level of illegality in this matter?

Some "illegal" immigrants from Mexico used to sneak across the border, work for a day/week/month/season and sneak back.

A big part of the reason that so many illegals are coming now is because the Dems not only have an "OPEN" sign flashing, they have a "FREE STUFF" sign flashing. As if that's not bad enough, they also have a "CRIMINALS WELCOME" sign flashing.

The Dems have supported death threats against Trump, violent riots, assaults of police, a riot at the WH, murders of police, police stations being overthrown, protests at SCJ's homes, and illegal immigrants who are repeat violent offenders are allowed to stay in the country.

If the dems have a plan to destroy America, it's not very subtle.
