Another peculiar aspect to political chat forums is that both sides ALWAYS proclaim that there will be a Blue or Red wave depending on which side they are on. The idea is that not only will their side win but resoundingly.. win every single race/election. Not only will their side win every election but it will continue seemingly in perpetuity.. the other side is so screwed. You wonder why they do not go into the business of writing fiction novels.

I think some do that (mostly to troll the other side) but i think most are more pragmatic.

In my view the right to self determination and the democratic process is sacred. The point of government is to serve the people, not a means to an end of personal power.

It's a shame you have other priorities.

Thinking that democracy is a sacred is why someone would care about fraud if fraud had occurred.

Imagining fraud where there is no evidence of fraud, and indeed where extensive investigation reveals no evidence, is just crazy.

2020 has been the most scrutinized election in history, and the only thing to come out the years-long search for fraud are confessions from the "stop the steal" ringleaders and cheerleaders that they were making things up.

Frankly if dozens of recounts and audits and 60+ court cases with no discovery whatsoever of systemic fraud haven't convinced you, you're either brainwashed or stupid.

Fewer than 1500 cases over a period of 41ish years, in a country of 300+ million people--across all levels of election from municipal to federal-- is virtually non-existent.

I mean, for fark's sake, 300 Americans are struck by lightning every year--a one-in-a-million chance. And even that utterly dwarfs the amount of illegal votes and registrations the heritage foundation could dig up. Like 9x more people are struck by farking lightning!

In any case - i doubt any of the fake 'fraud' charges will amount to anything.  And most of the other charges he faces are pretty useless as well. The classified documents and secrets charges are more of a threat but that won't be resolved till after the next election, so if he wins they go away. The racketeering thing is a pretty severe stretch of the law, it's probably not going to survive to the supreme court.

So, It's very likely trump will be free and able to run his campaign with no hinderance and the charges hanging over him just encourage his supporters.  There is a strong chance he'll be the next pres of the us.  And of course then he'll pardon himself, and spend every waking minute going after the people who came after him.

 

 

You just keep thinking that if it makes you feel secure, it's not true though inasmuch as he's already had a Summary Judgement made against him for fraud in the New York trial and if you read any case law at all, you'll see that judges like to rule as others have before them in similar types of crimes.  A subscription to the American Bar Journal would be very enlightening reading for you.
