No, shoplifting at a low level doesn't always illicit a police response anymore. Brown's robbery was violent. Police can't ignore that.

The ONLY violence was pushing the cashier who tried to stop Brown. Duh

The cop had every reason to require Brown to stop. The cop didn't have a good reason to believe that he'd be attacked. You're the only person who's saying that the fact that Brown was big and black meant that the cop was probably going to be attacked.

The fact that Brown was larger and stronger says the risk was high and waiting for BACKUP was warranted.

And Wilson stated that's what he intended to do.
