Integrating refugees successfully requires several things - all of which are hard to come by these days. there must be sufficient affordable housing. There must be mentors who are familiar with the refugee's culture and who are willing to help them navigate this very different culture, as well as introduce them to people and help them get job opportunities and improve language skills. There must be sufficient room for their kids to go to school and sufficient community there that they can relate to that they don't feel disenfranchised.  THere must be health care resources, etc.

And we just don't have the ability to expand ANY of that quickly, and what we've got is falling apart under the current strain.

Taking them in when we can't care for them is definitely a leftie idea.  Harper brought in a lot of refugees AND immigrants but he was largely successful at it because he kept it within our systems abilities.  He was praised by all sides for how well that went.

Trudeau is not doing that - and now we've got a mess.  we have to get back to that.  If the left wants to bring in more immigrants that's fine, but they have to make sure that our infrastructure and support is going up a the same rate.

Give us a break!  What is the purpose of having borders if anyone at any time is entitled to go wherever they want with a passport or without, with money or without?    Not only should the passage of refugees be discouraged but, it should be prevented at all costs!  

If help is needed, help those guys while they are INSIDE their country.   Don't bring them over here!

If they want to cross a sea illegally, sink their boat!   If they try to cross a border illegally, shoot them!  This is how a country has to deal with all of them!
