Army Guy Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 How many liberal gaffs is it going to take before the NDP drop the protection promise, how many gaffs does it take to loose interest in a party... it seems the last year there has been so many it is difficult to recall them all, Now the justice minister making threats, Justin is being investigated by RCMP, not that it matters it has happen before....and nothing ever comes of it... I'm just wondering what is the liberal voters number how many gaffs does it take 1000, 10000, 100000...to vote for another party...it would take a whole series of books just to explain them all... Conservative MP says justice minister threatened his professional reputation in an email | CBC News Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Conservative MP says justice minister threatened his professional reputation in an email | CBC News Sounds like the Conservative MP was mistaken. He was only threatening his reputation among Italian-Canadians. But, even if he was talking about the legal community, what is wrong with pointing out that the MP’s actions in The House to all their lawyer acquaintances? In a media statement, Lametti said he was talking about the the Italian-Canadian community in the email, not the legal community. Edited June 20, 2023 by TreeBeard Quote

So i guess it is OK for a Justice minister to use his influence and position to intimidate...or threaten another sitting MP for his actions you don't like... what was it he did , OH ya clapped his hands... Thats the problem with the left they think this is normal behavior...Tow the line or be canceled... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. They’re politicians running against each other to govern the country. Of course they’re going to use what they can to influence the electorate, in this case Italian-Canadians. What’s the issue with pointing out what the member was supporting when he was clapping in the House? Quote
Moonbox Posted June 21, 2023 Report Posted June 21, 2023 This is a nothing story. It’s partisan MPs throwing mud at each other. 1 Quote "A man is no more entitled to an opinion for which he cannot account than he is for a pint of beer for which he cannot pay" - Anonymous
Army Guy Posted June 22, 2023 Author Report Posted June 22, 2023 (edited) Thats the way you guys see it... The way i see and many others is that the Justice minister sent him an official e-mail, with his official title, and signature block... threatening to take action as he did not like his actions in parliament. Did any other MP's get an e-mail, no why is that ?... so he singled out one MP, and threaten to expose his behavior in front of the his community...Originally the Conservative MP thought he meant his legal community... That is intimidation regardless of how you dress it up... And thats what you consider good political behavior ? it is not OK for a foreign government to intimidate a MP, nor is it OK for a sitting justice minister to do it either... "Letting the community know" about someone's behavior is intimidation now. Okay. Sure. Right. Which community was he referring to, the legal community, i mean that was and will be his bread and butter, where reputation is everything...you don't see that as intimidation...i do... lets just say for a minute he is talking about the Italian community you might have a point no Biggy but it is still intimidation...the point is he used the office to make a threat... Moonbox Posted June 23, 2023 Report Posted June 23, 2023 He’s a lawyer, and his professional community can be counted amongst the most reasonable and realistic subgroups of humanity. He knows, and everyone else in that community knows, that a description of someone clapping for someone else in a partisan House would be an absolute dud of a “threat”. This was a low effort and transparent performance and it’s unfortunate that you can’t see through it.
