Let's start with celebs and athletes. Make it mandatory that their political affiliation is listed publicly. And none of this copout "I'm and Independent" or "I don't Discuss Politics" crap. If you claim your an independent then you need to prove it with who you voted for.

Cooking shows, home improvement shows, musicians, everyone in the public light.

I'm really getting tired of researching someone's political affiliation to just find out that they're a Repube/Trump voter, then having to ask myself why am I talking to this Imbecile???

I'm more than certain the right or left would have no problem with this. Bring the roaches outta from under the cupboards so to speak.

Let's include all business people too. I refuse to spend my money for anything from insurance to a cup of coffee from a Repulican.

Are you suggesting a special brigade gets formed to "research" people's political affiliation?! You want Uncle Sam or Uncle Sugar to make it mandatory for individuals to state their political affiliation? By the authority of whom? Uncle Sam's? My friend, that will never happen in your country.

You might be an example as to why this article is correct:

The Experts Somehow Overlooked Authoritarians on the <- Left
Many psychologists
wrongly assumed that coercive attitudes exist only among Conservatives ->

Never happen???. It's already underway. Yes in half-assed fashion but it's there right in front of you

Let's focus on individuals, people in the private sector, you even said celebrities. Do you believe it is correct for the government, Uncle Sam or Uncle Sugar, to compel a person to publicly disclose their voting history?  Why not take it a step further and follow them around when they vote?!

Yes well most right wingers I know have no problem whatsoever disclosing their political beliefs at any time.

Usually through ratty T-shirts and bumper stickers.

But that doesn't mean the rest of us want to join them.

Well why stop there? It should be MANDATORY to support the party Lefty approves of, and required that all people attend public parades honouring the leader of that party and waive little flags and pictures of them!  If elections aren't 100 percent for the party Lefty approves of then the gov't forces should track down whomever didn't vote for them and lock them the hell up for the safety of society.

I mean - why would we tolerate people with different views, amiright?

Sigh.  This, people, is the left today. Freedom? Who needs it. Tolerance? Naaaaaaah. We should use the force of law backed by armed enforcers to make people do WHAT WE KNOW is the "Right Thing".

Disgusting.

I understand, but this not about your friends and what you think about right wingers. In my opinion, it's a matter of such a law itself. The ACLU themselves will take issues with such an act. You open this door, what is next? activists with the video cameras to check who Shaquille O'Neal voted for?

Men like Shaquille O'Neal, which is a celebrity, worked hard for his money, don't want him disrupted by a brigade to check him. Him or anyone for that batter.

Uncle Sam is not welcome into my house to fish for my choices in a free society, if you want to give your information to good old Uncle Sam, he is always open for business.

I think we all know how Shaquille votes. But what I'm suggesting is a way for people to just know who they're dealing with. I stopped watching Tim Allen amongst other right winger entertainers yrs ago. Local pizza place has Fox on their TV, stopped going. But recently have gotten a quote from an asphalt company to repave my road, then researched the guy and found out he's a complete racist and rabid Trumpanzee. I don't want any of my money especially 70k of it going to feed him or his rat assed family, or to his childrens educations or anything that will benefit him in anyway. You know you all feel the same wether on the right or left. So let's just all come out of hiding and do this right

This seems like just another version of, "if you aren't for us, you are against us".

That is how the left operates today.

Ok, so you are suggesting like a type of a test?

  • The point what I am trying to make is that, once you start on that road, is a dangerous line for democracy. I

Sir or Madam. Please define Uncle Sugar? Also a dangerous line for our democracy. Our democracy has been in peril for quite some time now. Being able to identify people your dealing with without having to go thru pages people's FB profiles at this point would be a real benefit. It could help people from anything like deciding what neighborhoods they move to, to what deli to buy a sandwich at.
