It is personal, attachment without reason, when you are in a hole and you come in contact with messages such as JFK's is like God hit you, you can't understand, you had it good here and made jokes about Kennedy while having a wine glass.

Guess the economy was very good in the 50s and 60s, especially before Japan and Europe rebuilt.

There's nothing wrong with kennedy, but like a lot of people who died young their legacy is a little enchanted if you ask me.

Nobody got to hear Jim Morrison's sh1tty* Jazz record he did when he was 45, or Kennedy breaking the coal strikes and escalating Vietnam in 1967, or Kurt Cobain puking at the Grammys.

They could. That's definitely not why they fired him.

Apperently he tore a new one for the execs in a bunch of "colourful" tweets. They decided they didn't like that.

Point still is, he got caught in lies. Fox saved or is saving face.

He "apparently" did a lot of things.

Now now, lets not be bitter :)

The REAL point is that this won't hang on him long. His rep and his aibility to draw a crowd will remain in tact and he'll be on to the next best thing providing infotainment for whatever bidder bids best and you can bet he's sifting through a bunch of them right now.

Bitter....LOL

Bottom line, and this was for Deluginal, Carlson is gone and Fox lost whether he accepts it or not, that is the end play

As for Carlson and where he ends up and with who and his audience, I do not think I could care less now....same as I could not have cared less before. He has the money to just vegetate if he wants.

There's no doubt that fox is NOT the winner here. The settlement was bad enough but if the initial ratings loss after carleson left are to be believed it may turn out to be the cheaper of the two. We'll see if the ratings thing is permanent but Its clear Carlson was a large part of Fox's success.

True - but the stats would suggest he has the ability to pretty much create the next fox news just by showing up. Where he lands and what they want to use him for could actually be a major influence on the states.

Fox will rebound, I am pretty sure of that.

Again, I could not care less of Carlson as well as Hannity. They may land elsewhere but, they are pretty well gone from mainstream media.I am thinking that the extreme right wing has even been a bit tempered.

I doubt they'll go belly up but i'm not so sure about the rebound. Carlson was a HUGE slice of their success. Depending on what happens viewers may well land somewhere else. Remember, its not just about 'news', it's about  the entertainment, and it's hard to find really good entertainers like that.

Well -assuming you consider fox to be mainstream media...

I think you might be surprised there.
