It's not "easily breeched".

1) You have to commit a crime to breach it

2) The sound of cutting through steel travels many miles through a solid line of it. So imagine how easy it is for 50,000 people to walk through a 200-km gap in a wall vs cut enough holes for 50,000 people to get through and do it all before border patrol arrives to close it off...

No one made the comment that "You can put up a wall and leave it for 50 years, no one can ever get through", but that's basically the only thing your silly argument defeats.

You're really stupid if you don't understand how much easier it is to police one of the above scenarios vs the other.

You're really stupid if you think it's cheap to feed, clothe, shelter, medicate and process millions of illegal immigrants. FYI that costs billions of dollars.

That's called "delusions of grandeur". The reality is much sadder than that.

I guess you can't read:" smugglers are reportedly using a reciprocating saw that can be bought for as little as $100. The tool can cut through the wall’s steel and concrete in minutes when fitted with the appropriate blades, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents have said." And "U.S. Customs and Border Protection records obtained by the Washington Post show that suspected smuggling gangs managed to hack through the heavy steel bollards making up the fence 3,272 times between 2019 and 2021."

Clearly you're beating a dead horse. How pointless.

So g-d stupid.

You know that's not even 3x per day, right?

There are 2M people crossing the border illegally every year now. Do they go through new 3 holes that are created each day?

In 2022 it was estimated that it was cut through 11 times per day. How many dudes fit through your hole every day?

That means it's working. People have to make those little holes and go through them (sometimes getting caught in the act) instead of strolling by the thousands. ¿Comprende?

How many illegal immigrants fit through those multiple holes per day? You don't know? ..... Exactly.

You're not big on economic analysis when it comes to your partisan agenda, are ya.

Of course you're not paying for our Southern "wall," and it will probably SAVE YOU MONEY since US is paying for it. ?

This is a man-made recession. In every respect.

Thanks for admitting that it is INVESTORS who are demanding increased profits OVER PRODUCTION.

From YOUR CITE:

Quote

“Investors have demanded that producers maintain capital discipline and grow volumes modestly. Returns have taken priority over growth. Up until recently, a producer planning to significantly grow production volumes would likely have been punished by investors.

And it's working because the major oil companies have reported RECORD PROFITS. So much for blaming Biden, sorry.

FYI 2,000,000 ÷ 365 is over 5,000.

Do you think that 5,000 people a day are coming through 11 holes in the border wall?

No, they're not. And border patrol agents have to spend the majority of their resources monitoring the areas where there is no wall. Do you know why that is? Of course not, I have to tell you.... It's because there's no wall there. The border agents have to go to all the places where there is no wall.

How many agents do you think it takes to patrol a section of 500km of border wall?

How many agents do you think it takes to patrol a section of 500km with no border wall?

How many detainees will they end up with at the end of the day from those areas? How much will that cost?

You found the figure for the cost of repairing the border wall, just out of curiosity, did the fine folks who provided that stat also have the cost of detaining/feeding/clothing/processing illegal immigrants as well? Of course not.

Do I have to know, exactly? Of course not, it's different for different holes, genius.

Ask yourself: how much time does it take to cut a hole with a grinder that's big enough for someone to go through? How fast can people go through that hole? How long does it stay open?

When people go to a section of wall, thinking they'll get through, but border patrol appears and stops them, how far do they have to walk & how long do they have to wait before they can cross? It can get really discouraging, right?

Discouraging, hmmmmm, that sound like a good idea. If you want less people to cross, maybe stop encouraging them and making it easy.

That's what I said. Seems you're catching on.

I KNOW it HAS BEEN the CHOICE of investors to put THEIR SHORT TERM PROFIT (wishes) above the NEEDS of society.

That does NOT make it the OPTIMAL DECISION. Markets completely suck sometimes.

Just because YOU SEE THAT as JUSTIFIED, does NOT make it RIGHT NOR BEST.

There has been a LONG HISTORY, of INVESTOR DECISIONS driving the ECONOMY INTO THE DIRT.

Esp when there is a near MONOPOLY scenario.
