Specifically, Florida's nursing schools, which have a dismal 64.8% pass rate of the National Council Licensure Examination for registered nurses, which is the lowest in the United States. This is specifically about nursing, but the title encompasses every level of schooling in the state, which is entirely inaccurate and intentionally misleading. I know that you get away with your lying on a post-by-post basis, but that doesn't cut it in a thread title. The thread needs to be taken down, or the title needs to be changed. That is correct, as far as I know, but it's not really worth looking into. There are probably more than probably 100 educational categories to compare, so almost every state will be the worst at something. In fact, the top article specifically cites covid as a reason for a recent plunge in grades across the board, so this could be a function of ESL students trying to take courses via Zoom, or maybe they offered courses that were primarily in Spanish to accommodate their population, and those people don't test well in English. Really, it's such a small blip in the overall field of education that it's not worth worrying about. Baltimore, Chicago and Cleveland on the other hand, have something to really worry about. IF any of FL schools are the worst, IT IS TRUE that FL has the worst schools. Even if it's only SOME of the worst schools, they still have them. See the thing is, you look for ways a statement COULD be false when it goes against YOUR AGENDA, NOT for meanings which make it true. 1 Quote
