California university will no longer use the word 'field' over racist 'connotations

The University of Southern California's School of Social Work will no longer use the word "field" because it "may have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign," according to a letter from the department.

USC's Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work will make the change in order to ensure the use of "inclusive language and practice," according to the letter.

"Specifically, we have decided to remove the term ‘field’ from our curriculum and practice and replace it with ‘practicum,'" the letter said. "This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that would be considered anti-Black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive language."

Florida has the best schools, the best economy and the best health care in the country. For instance, NEW YORK'S goose stepping governor (during the Obama Virus crisis) allowed Covid patients to be put in NURSING HOMES, even as LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP had parked a HUGE hospital ship in the harbor of NYC, and elderly DIED. I'm sorry but that qualifies as MASS MURDER.

In the United States, there are only TWO private colleges, (defined as private because they receive ZERO government funding, including student loans.) One is Grove City College (Pennsylvania) and the other is Hillsdale College in Michigan.

(Note: HIllsdale was the FIRST college to graduate a black female after Reconstruction.)

The rest of them get federal student loans so they are NOT private. They ARE subject to government regulation.

If a school that accepts student loans says the word "Field" is racist, this is not just a statement. It is what this school is teaching. It is the curriculum. Even bandying the combination "field/racist" around the campus amounts to instruction.
