Infidel Dog Posted July 4, 2021 Report Posted July 4, 2021 Quote After nearly 16 months of rigid travel restrictions, Canada is finally starting to loosen the rules — but only for a specific few. Effective Monday, fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents — those who have had a full course of a COVID-19 vaccine approved for use in Canada — will be able to skip the 14-day quarantine. Eligible air travellers will also be exempt from the requirement that they spend their first three days in Canada in a government-approved hotel. But the Canada Border Services Agency has a warning: would-be travellers will still be prohibited from entering the country if they were not eligible to travel to Canada before Monday. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/border-restrictions-easing-monday-1.6089599?utm_source=ground.news&utm_medium=referral
Boges Posted July 6, 2021 Report Posted July 6, 2021 Why is this a thread and not a status update? It'll be interesting what they'll do for children that can't get a vaccine.

What about people who are immuno-compromised and must rely on herd protection? I have a card that shows I've had both vaccines. Is this the scary 'vaccine passport'? It was issued by the pharmacy that provided the vaccines, and it seemed to be more or less optional to pick it up. I have no plans to go to the States, regardless.

Yesterday they waived the 14-day quarantine for Fully vaxxed people, but not children.

If you'd looked you would have seen it's a news story from CBC in the News of the Day club. BTW when I started this club I put a criteria for posted stories that they be mainstream and that be identified by a source with an off line presence. If you're ever interested in posting.
