If you choose not to read about something or watch it at all, or you just do so while looking to find fault with it but not trying to actually understand it, then you will never experience cognitive dissonance. In your case, you will never experience cognitive dissonance because your confirmation bias has you scanning the internet for bullshit that tickles your fancy, and it also prevents you from absorbing accurate info that displeases you. And if the police hadn't murdered him for basic resistance, he'd be alive now. His murderers are paying the price for their part as well. Two to tango. We expect more from our police officers. And in this case that includes the rapid escalation of the initial encounter. Floyd was involved in a non-violent, non-emergent potential crime, passing a counterfeit bill that he may or may not have known was counterfeit. Yet the police response was to immediately point a gun at his face. It's not that weird that Floyd freaked out. People do funny things when you put a gun in their face--especially if they are high. He thought he was going to be killed. That's the cycle we're in at this point. Black Americans are so afraid of the police killing them that they react fearfully in ways that make it more likely that they will be killed. Edited March 26 by Hodad 1 Quote

WestCanMan Posted August 23 Author Report Posted August 23 (edited) In a different thread I said: The person running for president on the Dems' ticket fully supported violent riots. She pimped a bail fund that was letting the worst violent offenders back on the streets to riot again. She was giddy about the prospect that the violent and destructive riots might last until after Christmas. Do you know what rained Kamala's violent parade? The truth. Not just 'the truth', but the truth that Walz's AG was hiding from the public. When that video got leaked, the riots came to an abrupt halt. Turns out that it was just a garden variety "if you didn't wrestle with cops or take all that Fentanyl, you'd still be alive" situation. And make no mistake, Ellison knew how different the bodycam footage looked from the video that only showed Chauvin kneeling on him after he was down. I knew it instantly, and I told the dumb leftist f'ks on this site that video would end the riots, which it did. It dialled that scenario back from a 9/10 to a 2/10. Tim Walz didn't exactly call out the National guard, he called the National Guard out after it was too late. Him and his wife wanted to smell the tire fires - in poorer neighbourhoods - apparently. And you know that part about the poorer neighbourhoods is important, because you saw how little patience the Dems have for riots in their own neck of the woods. They have absolutely no remorse whatsoever for the fact that Ashley Babbit got shot and killed on J6. Demonrats: "You can spend years rioting, looting, burning, assaulting our citizens, killing our citizens, assaulting our police officers, ambushing and killing our police officers, destroying entire communities, and we LOVE it. Kamala will even get you out of jail if she can. You can even claim sovereignty over parts of our cities and kill black kids there if you want. You can have a violent riot at the WH as long as the POTUS is a Republican. You can protest right outside the homes of Republican-appointed SCJ's if you want. But if you riot anywhere near us, we will have you killed and the FBI will hunt you down. Rioting near us will not be tolerated." This is the thread where I mentioned the effect the footage would have on the riots. It came out about 48 days after Kamala famously gushed that the riots would last until after Christmas. Her video was from Jun 18 2020, which was 24 days after Floyd was killed, so the riots were still extremely violent (although 'mostly peaceful' lol) at that time. Just imagine how much destruction she witnessed by that point, but she still yearned for several months more of it. Keith Ellison had already been hiding the video for 24 days when Kamala was praising the riots, and Ellsion would had that footage under wraps for about 72 days before it was leaked. Ellison is on the hook for allowing violent riots to last 72 days when he could have put a hunge damper on it just with the click of a pen. He would have signed lives, saved businesses from being destroyed, and saved communities from needless violence and divisiveness. At no point has Kamala ever publicly questioned why Ellison did this to his own community.
