There may or may not have been a problem with Bill Peters...

I suspect he was an asshat... but that's part of the problem... how many people really know this person.

But Twitter justice has been served...

And the mob feels its power. This is not a pure unalloyed good that has been unleashed...

Don Cherry was unceremoniously turfed... although many loved him.... curmudgeon that he was...

There is blood in the water and the sharks are in a frenzy.

Perhaps we will see an airing of bottled up grievances, and some more heads rolling. It may be a good thing to clean out some trouble spots.

The mob sure likes to see those heads rolling.

Madame la guillotine knows.

The twitter mob claiming credit doesn't mean they deserve credit. Cancel culture had infinitely less to do with this than Calgary being in the shitter and needing a coaching change anyways. Talk to me when the twitter mob gets to someone who wasn't about to be fired anyway.

The mob has been given credit... that's what matters.

Listen to the talking heads.... they aren't saying the team needed a new coach....

They are going on about racism.

Same with Don Cherry... maybe he was getting old and obsolute.... maybe they were looking for an excuse to fire him... but the twitter mobs are convinced they got his head for "you guys".

These heads are being displayed on pikes as warnings to anyone who might be guilty of wrongthink.

Justice must be swift and merciless.

Don Cherry is different. That was about the twitter mob, Peters was not. I don't care what the stupid hockey media says about it, they don't know shit, they are part of the twitter mob, they are looking to pat themselves on the back for something they had nothing to do with.

How will that happen?

The right will start using your own tactics against you, turnabout is fair play, and they have the courage of their convictions while the left are a bunch panty waists who only engage in violence when they outnumber those they disagree with. You started a fight you can't win, and you will reap the whirlwind. You think because the right are the ones getting silenced more now that means that will always hold, just wait until you alienate everyone with your idiocy and make them rally behind the silenced right.

Canada will drift into the shoals of a fiscal and economic crisis, resulting in a revanchist backlash, quasi fascistic, this will then seize control of the levers of power.

The same way it happened in Nazi Germany, the left thought it was ascendant, then their tactics were turned against them when the Nazi's took power. They never learn, by trying to fight fascism in such a counter-productive way and lumping everyone who isn't far left in with the facists, jacee and company are actually creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

Wont be that extreme,  it will be like in America, right wing populism, but more like Mussolini than Hitler

National Socialism is a very extreme variant of Fascism, Canada is not a Hegemon like Imperial Germany, the crisis will not be as extreme as Weimar.

Nobody will be starving in the streets, but it won't need to be that bad  for a revanchist backlash below the threshold of the NSDAP.

Regardless it will be bad for the left, and they never learn from their historical mistakes. If they think what they are doing to the right now means the future is theirs, just wait until the revanchist backlash gets through with them.

Nothing to be done about it, the pendulum swings back and forth, eccentric recluse now, eccentric recluse then, divested from Canada in general.

Yes but jacee thinks the pendulum will swing left forever, and think the right will be continue to be silenced by the Cancel Culture Mob, which she thinks is a good thing, instead of the thing that will incite a backlash against her beloved left.

Many of the leftists now will swing back hard the other way when the crisis comes.

Mussolini was a disgruntled and disillusioned socialist.

Canada will basically flip from being 60% socialist to being 60% populist revanchist.

It's still going to be Information War, there won't be any Blitzkriegs, the government and corporations will simply swing with the pendulum.

The central narrative in revanchism is national humiliation.

There are generally two ingredients, military defeat, followed by economic crisis.

Canada already has the first ingredient; the military has collapsed and Canada is a laughing stock when it comes to security.

All that is needed now, is for the 50% of Canadians who are on the brink of bankruptcy, to be cast into the streets by economic consequence of bad socialist governance.

Then the fur is gonna fly.

Once the humiliated masses are enraged, there will be scapegoats.

I would expect those to be the usual suspects, immigrants, gays, transgenders, feminists, academics, peaceniks, etcetera, all the sacred cows of the left.

The hunters will become the hunted.

This is after all a war,  it's an Information War, but there is no middle ground.

The pendulum in Canada right now is swinging off to the totalitarian left.

It will inevitably swing back the other way reactionary to that, but its not going to return to the center.

It will simply swing out the other way towards the totalitarian right, and those people are just as obnoxious.

Canadians of all stripes are succumbing to noxious totalitarian dogma, because Canada itself is a failed state.

People are getting kind of tired of the daily shit-show. But what we're seeing now in the NHL is kind of like when you open the gates. Domino effect. Things are being dredged up from the past now, and people coming forward to complain that the coach was a bully, decades ago. Not that it matters, because the coach is still a bully today. Which is what he needs to be, for a Men's hockey team to be able to beat their competitors. Even, the Russians. Whole thing is a metaphor for what's happening on another scale.
