Canada was saying it wants to remain dependent on foreign investment...since...forever.

The next government will continue this beggar's policy.

Yes we want to remain dependent on foreign investment by banning it.  Great strategy there.  What's your plans for football?  Non stop hail Mary's?

Stop concerning yourself with idiot Canada, worry about your own investments, national helicopter mommy is going to nanny itself into an economic grave.

Ask your own government....Google wanted nothing to do with Canada's stupid ass political ad registry, but one of Trudeau's simple minded ministers still begged Google to reconsider.   Facebook, Twitter, Google/YouTube, Instagram, etc. still dominate Canadian social media, with the CBC crown corporation actually having embedded links to those American platforms.

Some ban......

They are allowed to advertise in our country, just not to control the means of advertisement ;)

They do not own any of the industry.  So what control do they have?  That they pay us to advertise?

The same control that Netflix has, and Canada can't do anything about it.   Netflix thumbed their noses at Canada's CRTC....can kiss Netflix's ass.

Elections Canada got similar treatment from foreign platforms that Canadians rely upon every day.

Minority or majority government won't change any of the foreign media (mostly American) domination.

The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) actually invests more in the United States than in Canada.....say what ?

Canada is the place to be if you want to engage in shady corporate corruption, in America you will end up in jail, in Canada you will be protected by the corrupt government.
